what is the problem with you people, what is the problem saying it is a non gaming country. Mine is not a gaming country, so what? does that make me stupid or imbecil? u people have serious confident problems.

sometimes people have a problem with stuff that is said that is completely wrong and false.

Well, it is the same as Nintendo selling 200% more hardware than the previous month. Doubling a low number does not make that number high. And for 85 milllion on population it is really low.

Our population is 63 million not 85 million. And it's on par with everywhere else. Just because certain games sell low numbers doesn't mean it's not a gaming country ... wow.

Are you stupid or what? do you think i am going to check  sells game by game whenI made that statement? Be smart, and it is on par whith what? Europe as a whole made a difference, but each country by itself? not really. Like central america or south america, they don't make anything by itself on the gaming industry. But their reasons are different. Those are developing countries not like the OLD CONTINENT countries. Please, think. I know that I am a rocket scientist but that is not needed to make those conclusions.

Well yes I thought you would check before making such a statement, I guess you like to just assume before you come out with absurd stuff like that then?

So now you're saying UK doesn't MAKE games?? Am I reading that right???

You're full of inaccuracies buddy. UK is third biggest country for the gaming industry. In both output of games and revenue.

I see the 5k number thrown around and I generally agree.
But don't forget this is for 2 versions !

WiiU version at spot 15 and 3DS version at 28.
Meaning roughly 3k for WiiU and 1.5k 3DS.

Lol. Promising....

Chalk up another sonic flop. Shame what the franchise has become.
However this has nothing to do with the Wii U low sales in my opinion. It would've flopped on all consoles because it's simply a bad game.

A non gaming country, deal with it

You just sound ridiculous saying this "Waa my favourite game didn't sell well, therfore it's not a true gaming country"

Do you know anything about the UK??? We're calling you out because you're factually wrong. The UK is the 2nd/3rd biggest gaming country on the planet.

Deal with it.

Ehhhh... I'd say third at the most.  US is the biggest by far, followed by Japan... I'll let you have UK as distant third.  I do recall Iwata saying in investor briefings that UK is sometimes considered the largest game market in Europe, but sometimes Nintendo does better in Germany and France.  I suppose FIFA and CoD, which tend to not sell well on Nintendo platforms, are primarily what drive the UK market, so you could be right about 3rd.  I think some people are taking the OP out of context.  UK does have a smaller video game market, relative to their population size.  And for a single-SKU Sonic game to debut at #11 on a very unpopular console in it's debut week, when traditionally UK has been a difficult market for Nintendo to crack, is impressive.  If Sonic debuts at #11, think of how high 3D World will chart in November.  Could be showing early signs that Wii U isn't dead after all.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

I say 2nd/3rd because at times it rivaled Japan, not so much anymore. It's not a distant third though for revenue AFAIK.

My point stands though. If UK isn't a gaming country then the only two gaming countries out there are US and Japan.

The comment was ignorant and just wrong.

You are contradicting yourself in your post.  Germany and France both have higher populations than the UK, so how can the UK have a smaller market relative to its population if it is the largest market in Europe.  The UK was also rivaling the Japanese market when Nintendo was at its height with the DS and Wii.

I don't see how anyone can write or say with a straight face that the sales numbers (or review scores) presented for Sonic Lost World are acceptable and/or promising. If anything, its more concerning as any future attempt to make Sonic for other consoles will be met with trepidation from Sega and thats a real blow for fans of sonic outside Nintendo. Don't know if this is the final nail in the coffin but this game will set Sonic back to the furthest of back burners.

Hopping into this thread has to be one of the most confusing things I've read. All I get is the non-word "http" and a title with the letter 'S'. That makes it extremely clear what you're talking about...

Anyhow, I've figured it out. And it's quite funny.

while the WiiU sales didnt help by any means. This games failure is attributed mostly because of the game its self. it just failed to exite people. Sonic is dead, or will be soon.

in my opinion however, the game didnt look that bad, it was actually kind of interesting. shame to see it didnt deliver.

I just find how funny it is to see people saying that Sonic is a bad game.... without even playing it properly.

Reviews are mixed. Some say it´s excellent, some say it´s good, some say it´s average, some say it´s bad. We can´t be certain that it is a bad game if we don´t try it.

it´s those kind of "love-it-or-hate-it" game
