More than 6.6 million units have been sold for the Assassin's Creed Franchise in the UK. Ubisoft decided to reveal this figure to the public to help boost the popularity of the franchise as well as help increase popularity for their latest addition, "Black Flag"

Assassin's Creed Black Flag is their latest and sixth game in the series and Ubisoft developers are preparing to launch a big marketing campaign to support its launch. They plan on having the usual online, TV and print campaigns but now, they are adding a major campaign tour for 20 UK Universities.

Ubisoft's UK brand manager Omebline Wallon said "This year the anticipation is high, especially with the game coming on PS4 and Xbox One. Consumers are very excited about what the new consoles have to offer."

Omebline Wallon continued saying, "The Assassin's Creed franchise has already sold over 6.6 million units in the UK and over the past few years it has become a staple in gamers' diaries. Since we announced Black Flag in March, we have supported it at every beat of the campaign. We will be increasing our media presence as we near launch."

I didn't think it sold so well in the UK.

In Europe i get but in the UK alone LOL yeah right!

makes sense, vgc has it at 17m for europe without digital sales on pc, vita and the consoles.. so probably around 20m or something like that in europe. since uk is maybe little bit less as 1/3 of the european market, 6.6m sounds exactly what to expect.
