Looks CG-ish. Even though it doesn't look real, per se, the poly count jump is very apparent. Forza cars have always look less realistic than say, GT vehichles, but they've always had a stylized, pleasent appearance.

With the delay of DriveClub, it is going head-to-head with Need For Speed: Rivals. In that regard, Forza 5 definitely looks more next gen.

Hum... Ok. And? I don't get the "Looks CG-ish".  Toy Story is CG, and the toys look like toys. Transformers are CG and they look like real robots, metal and other material look the way they should.

That car here doesn't look real.

Now, I've read your other repies here, do you consider this remark of mine as "trashing" the game?

Actually, I thought your comments were fairly reasonable. Others, however, have given it a hard time, especially when comparing it to DriveClub or GT.

Good. Cause even if I don't think this car and some other cars don't look real, I still think the game looks really good. I just expect car sims to look real. Or as close to real as possible. Something GT and Project Cars have nailed, but Forza have been struggling to achieve throughout its history. As much as they push the physics and everything else, if the cars don't look real, it will always give this "arcade" vibe.

Now, I asked you this because, to a lot of people, if you make any negative remark about something, you're just a hater, biased, or a troll. Which is ridiculous if you know where I stand.

That car is very detailed, yes. But it doesn't look real to me. Something is off with its finish.

It looks kinda toyish. Plasticky.

Says the guy with Project Car test builds :P Cute.

Hey now, I did say it didn't look real. Project CARS is in a whole other class from anything on console. Thus, it's not even worth mentioning.

But here, Forza 5 gets trashed on a lot, and I've seen visuals, especially of late, that are impressive enough to dispute.

What is so special about Project Cars? I've just checked some screenshots (read bullshots) and they look impressive, but then I've watched a few gameplay videos from Youtube and they were nothing special. The roads and the in car view were way behind GT5, environments look a bit better but they are really not that important. Frankly, this is the first time I'm checking this game, am I missing something?

Well, Youtube is compressed to hell but, here you go. 60+FPS and supposedly better phsics too.

Well, I can understand physics, I've never been truly impressed with the physics of Forza and GT. I am talking about graphics though. Console sims are 60 FPS too. Sure, they drop frames here and there but they are hardly noticeable. The videos you posted are advertisement material. I've found a good looking video, though it has its problems too:

Look at the interior view. The inside looks like a joke to be honest. This is what you will see 90% of the time. It is raining but the windscreen (correct term?) barely gets wet. The car models look great though. Overall I'd say just OK, the interiors need a significant overhaul. Saying it is in another league is a real stretch in my opinion.

Youtube compression really sucks ^_^b That's all I can say lol. Not even close to what it really looks like.

Everything I see of this game simply blows me away. Far more impressive than the launch driving games on the consoles.

When I played Forza at Eurogamer, visually, it just felt like an evolution of what's currently available. It didn't impress me much more than GT6 even though that's running on aged hardware. If people are impressed with this, I think your minds will explode after Turn10 have had a bit more time with the X1 and show off the next Forza!

The game looks really good from a technical standpoint. Never been a huge fan of Forzas almost....cartoonish art style but it still looks good.

I just shit my pants!

they look great!

Did you know ps4 only supports a 2.4 wireless signal?

The xbox one supports a wireless adapter capable of 2.4 - 5.0ghz.

The ONLY next gen console to do so.
