I know there is quite the commotion going on right now about DriveClub being delayed and saying it is going to hurt Sony but in reality it is going to effect PS4's sold at the very minimum.
First off it isn't much of a system seller. Look at the Pre-order chart and it isn't even ranked in the U.S. as an example http://www.vgchartz.com/preorders/41560/USA/ Then again you may say VGC is inaccurate at times. Well a lot of feedback on the game hasn't been astounding either getting a lot of mixed reactions early on. Maybe having the extra time they can fix why people are having these mixed reactions.
Now it won't effect them in america "much". Maybe in Europe where racing is a little more popular but I really don't expect it to move PS4 in the holidays in Europe either. Sony has gained a lot of its sales primarily for the reason that it is "Sony" and the promise of "Sony Games" side by side with Microsoft making mistakes early on. This lead to a lot of preorder numbers. And I expect them to continue with the momentum based off hype through out the holidays.
Of course people may have been looking forward to games as well, don't read what I said wrong, but what i am trying to say is that regardless of what Sony releases or doesn't release this holiday they will do well due to great PR, hype, and the pricing of PS4. (And of course 3rd party sided with Killzone helps)
Conclusion
PS4 will sell a great amount with or without DriveClub as I don't see it being the reason people are buying the PS4 anyways (This holiday).
