Tittle says it all. 

Just wanna mention 2 things:

1) If I buy this, it will be the first Pokemon I own since gen 2
2) Even though I don't own any new Pokemon games, I have played them all except Black and White 2. Hated gens 3 and 4 (didn't even finished them), and gen 5 was good

So go ahead and convince me.

1. You'll have the opportunity to see over 400 new pokemon including different system then it was back in 2002.
2 You can do so many great things in the game which hasn't been done before
3 Unique team and great Online which features tons of cool and different modes
4 Pokemon XY >>>>>>>> Pokemon Gen 3-5 i say even better than the first 2 but im an original player
5 Everybody gonna be having fun so why dont you
6 Worth every penny
7 Kanto Starter (Originals)
8 Great long RPG, lots of hidden things/exploration

Could try and convince you, but that would take time away from playing the game.

So not gonna bother. I'll just have fun playing Pokemon while you wait on forums

edit: oh and caught my first wild shiny ever yesterday.  A Golett.  now I have 2 shiny's.  Other was an evee I got breeding, back in pearl.  Can't wait till December to transfer him over.  I don't care that Shiny's are apparantly more common now, I heard 1/1000 now instead of 1/8000, still was excited.

I will last you A LOT of time, it's worth the 40 bucks and it's the first pokemon game with fully 3D pokemon models and overworld and everything!
