None as much as GT5 and GT6.
The fact that this isn't a launch PS4 games absolutely blows my mind.

No. They're two different shows that appeal to two different markets. GT is a racing franchise with a very established fan base. Do you think these fans won't buy the game? Halo is a shooter franchise with a very established fan base too. Do you think these fans won't buy the game either? Do you think that the people who own a Playstation console will not buy GT just because of a completely different game on a completely different console? The answer to all these questions is NO. |
A pg movie and an R rated movie can totally compete with each other. People on this site like to think that only directly related products compete, when everything is trying to get a consumers dollars!
I have a PS4 preordered, but I also want a new tv. If I find a good deal at best buy for an HDTV I might cancel my PS4. "But but but...The PS4 and tvs aren't competitors, they won't take sales from each other". Oh yes they will (and do)
Even completely unrelated things compete. Im trying to save a little money so I had to decide between buying some Taco Bell and buying an iphone game. Apple just lost out on money because of Taco Bell. They're all competing for the same pool of money

Did GT4 get much marketing? That kind of just slipped out too from what I remember. GT gamers know the game is out, GT gamers are the ones who are gonna buy a new GT.
I don't think there's much to worry about with this one, it's not a "mass market" title in the same manner as say Call of Duty/GTA, it just has a very large "niche" following.

because Sony aren't going to just rip us off with GT6HD |
Isn't that basically what 90% of PS4 launch titles are... prettier versions of their current-gen counterparts?
(And same thing in Xbone's case too, not singling out PS4 here).

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
Watched the Bathurst 1000 at mount panorama last weekend , it is V8 supercars premier car race with a global audience of over 250 million , the first thing I noticed was how much Xbone and Forza 5 advertising there was , all the replays where sponsered by Xbone including the launch date ,also they had a Xbone sponsered car in bright green with xbone all over it that really stood out pity it was midfield, and at the end of the main straight at hells corner and continuing about 200metres up mountain straight on both sides of the track was nonstop xbone signage. the funny thing is GT was the first ever sponsor for the replays .
Research shows Video games help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot
