A pg movie and an R rated movie can totally compete with each other. People on this site like to think that only directly related products compete, when everything is trying to get a consumers dollars!
I have a PS4 preordered, but I also want a new tv. If I find a good deal at best buy for an HDTV I might cancel my PS4. "But but but...The PS4 and tvs aren't competitors, they won't take sales from each other". Oh yes they will (and do)
Even completely unrelated things compete. Im trying to save a little money so I had to decide between buying some Taco Bell and buying an iphone game. Apple just lost out on money because of Taco Bell. They're all competing for the same pool of money
