"Zelda won't cause a hardware bump!"

Hard to believe some people can be that out-of-touch. In this industry, at this time, on that system, there's little chance the game wouldn't have caused sales to go up this month.

How much, and how long, that's up for debate, but that it would should never have been a question.

The argument I mostly heard was that nobody would get a system for WWHD cos it was a port of a decade-old game.

There maybe light at the end of the tunel but is that light travelling faster than the speed of the wii u sales ? :P (That is the question.)

Yes, the WiiU is clearly getting more sales after nintendo releases, and since they have many upcoming releases in time for holiday season, they will rocket on charts

Wii U will sell about 3.5mil this next 3 months... Ps4 will sell 4mil in a month..

Sony is aiming for over 5 million by april next year. How do you expect them to sell 4 mill a month?

That was not meant to be an attack.

This demonstrates that Wii U can sell when it gets desirable software. It's just that it has lost all its momentum in the Q1/2 drought and has to build it back up again.
It will truly hit its stride once the heavy hitters like Mario Kart and Smash Bros. are out.
Other exclusives like 3D World, Sonic Lost World, Bayonetta 2, X, Donkey Kong Country, and Zelda U will help also.

Imagine what a proper effort would help, like the new Mario or DK, or the real Zelda.

I get what ur saying and I agree but Shadow is a horrible comparison since Wind Waker outsold it 4:1. A better comparison would be a game that sold similar to WW which the God of War games did and that collection sold over 2 million.

Good call, God of War Collection is a much better analogy

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I'll say this: while I think the popularity of the series has diminished over the years, Zelda is still a big franchise. I don't think that this spike will last for long (though once the holiday bump comes in we won't be able to tell), but for now it's actually one of the strongest titles the Wii U has had.

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

Heh...and some people said Zelda doesn't sell systems...and a remake Zelda at that. North America had been improving nicely just from the price drop alone, but Europe...WOW! Great jump! Sales will drop back down and likely level off over the next few weeks before spiking nicely in mid-November and sustaining big sales through the holidays with the new bundles in Japan and Europe, plus Super Mario 3D World, Wii Party U, Sonic Lost World, Mario and Sonic Olympics, and Wii Fit U!

And that's just the kick-start! Next year's big titles are the REAL heavy hitters in terms of what they'll do for system sales. Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. already guarantee that the Wii U will have its biggest year yet in 2014, and with Donkey Kong, Monolith Soft's "X", Yarn Yoshi, Bayonetta 2, and more as "support"...Wii U's potential next year is BIG!

Upcoming Games To Get
