Forums - Nintendo - Downside to the new Exp Share Pokemon XY?

I think the game was designed with Exp Share in mind. I'm happy to be able to easily level up low-level pokemon just by having them in my party while catching new ones.

You dont get EV's from EXP share. You're over leveled but you're also weak.

And horde battles.

Considering the pokemon trainers utilize competent battel strategy in the actual game, XY and very good.

And yes the gaps between teh 1st 2nd and third gym is huge.

You sure about the EXP share? Just read a huge guide on past games and it said that EV should be gained as well.

Regardless of that, I personally am not going to worry too much about EV's until late game, where I actually intend on retraining everything.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

No EV's at all. I have 1 Pokemon which just floated along for a few hours. Caught at LV 2. Perfectly alligned stat boosts visible in Super Training. Which actually is the answer to the missing EV's. Usually it takes ~45min to distribute all 511 EV's which will last you to LV 100. 2-3min every 5 level-ups (for Pokemon you don't use at all, mind you) and the Pokemon will turn out fine. On the other side manually training all Pokemon is a fucking hassle.

So does Exp share effect EV's at all?

I keep reading this over and over again but alas, I have absolutely no idea what you're saying

Just enjoy the game at whatever pace you want for now. When you get to end game, you can start worrying about that stuff if you're into it.

Anyways, that's what I'm doing. And I'm having fun doing so. ^_^

Or you could find a reset bag, get all into Pokemon Amie and Super Training, and thus begin your farming life as a pokemon breeder.

You can splice two berries together to make other berries in the game too.

Find as many reset bags as you can

Tagging so I can add all of you guys on 3DS later :p
