What are you downloading?  Skyrim for Steam is only 6Gb as an example.

There are games over 20GB on Steam too... most PSN games are over 15GB... only the multiplataform are less than 10GB.

The new CoD is supose to be a 30GB+ downlaod too... next-gen.

I would hardly say it is a common thing for games to be 30gb+.  I have 48 games installed on steam as an example with a 1tb harddrive.  I also have  a lot of movies installed on it that take up a lot of space.

Either way memory is digital's only issue at the moment.

You are talking about old games... created using this gen data.

New games will use more data even on PC... some people didn't belive but consoles are holding PC game development since 2007... we will have a new jump and then freeze again.

Steam example: Total War: SHOGUN 2... 20GB.

Given I'll be on PSN+ with "free" games every month I'll be primarily getting digital games. Though games I buy will probably be mostly physical. I just don't plan on buying many games.

You are correct about that, no arguments there :)  Though im very likely to go all digital anyways. Depends on cloud storage for me.

digital probably.

...it will probably be worth it just to have the games in my gaikai cloud (as i assume physical purchases won't be added). plus i don't like disc swapping. ...but at 50GB a game it will be a strain on download bandwidth and harddrive space.

I just did.  LOL

I have a very fast connection, I will be playing in minutes.

The question was to me. I answered it.  I will be mostly digital.  Your concerns are your concerns... not mine.

I have fast internet and I dont play 8,9 or 10 games at once, 2 or 3 at most.  Downloads suits me fine, I play it, finish it and delete the game.  No issue. whatsoever.

I take it the people here banging on about have to re-install never trade games in?  Try untrading to play again...

LOL.

(Oh... and downloading and installing is very fast on 360 and I exect it to be the same on ONE)

You asked him a question and he answered it. Now you say "it's your concern''!!

You think everyone else has super fast internet just because you have it!? Ever hear of a tunnel vision?

He is lying like usual.

A 8GB game on 360 takes way more than 10 minutes to install... hardly VERY FAST.

Even if it have a 100Mbps internet... downloading ALL THE TIME at full speed... 8GB will need more than 12 minutes... hardly VERY FAST.

What is everybody going to do? Physical or "Game ownership", digital or "Long term rental", or both?

Sorry. But I couldnt resist. I will be getting retail version. This gen many of my friends got digital version but I didnt.

As psn / xbox live service will be terminated for ps3 / xbox 360 after 7-8 years later those "digital" versions will not exist. But retail versions will exist. I purposely missed lots of psn only games this gen. I waited journey collectors edition to come out because I was reluctant to get digital copy.

For me a new game means getting the sealed copy, opening the plastic wrap, smelling the box and booklets (they are becoming novelty now) and inserting the disk in the console. I dont know how long I will be able to resist digital games especially digital only ones but I will do my best to resist. The day physical games will cease to exist will be a dark day for gamers.
