One million copies and still no multiplatform release :(

Theres no way around it. Japan is where the bulk of the sales are and they want it on Playstation. If you want Tales games you have to buy a PS3 for it. Given how many of them are coming out exclusively for PS3, its worth it.

Ignoring the Xbox now, what happened between Namco and Nintendo? Did Symphonia 2 sales scared them off?

I think it was the sales difference between Tales of Graces (Wii) and Tales of Graces: F (PS3) that made the bigger difference.

Who would have thought that a worlwide release would sell better than a Japan-only game!

Note to Namco: Cheap out on the voices. There the most expensive part in localization.

Namco don't listen to him. I, and other JRPG fans, do NOT want another Baten Kaitos style localization from you. I was so glad that Nintendo localized the prequel.

If you were really a fan then you would play the game with subtitles instead of using english voice actors. Do you want the franchise dead or alive ?

What the hell? I have played every tales game released in america and a few that nly came to Japan and I would definately be mad if we got a Tales with no english voice acting. I don't uderstand japanese and I would much prefer to hear the story and characters be told through my native language audio wise. Saying someone isn't a real fan because they wouldn't want just subbs is BS.

The Tales of team bases all their decisions on where their fanbase is in Japan. Symphonia might have been the most successful Tales of game in NA but even the late PS2 version outsold the Gamecube version in Japan.

It's obvious the Tales of fanbase is on PS hardwares in Japan.

Tales of Vesperia on the 360 was the result of a deal with Microsoft and Tales of Graces probably the result of the poor sales of the PS3 in its early years.

It would sell like 10k on the Xbox :P

To be fair the 360 has jrpgs that have sold pretty well. ToV included, you'd be surprised how many of my Xbox friends would've bought Tales of Xillia if it was on 360.

On this gen I don't think its worth it since the 360 has completely different architecture and they'd basically have to redo everything, but for next gen I don't see any reason why the X1 won't get more JRPG ports.

I don't get what you mean by that? Theres plenty of games released on both consoles they wouldn't have to redo everything.

Then check the JP-only sales.  Like Boutros says, Namco base their decisions for the franchise (or at least their recent decisions) of the Japanese sales; and between Graces F > Graces and Xillia absolutely exploding, it seems they're back on PlayStation consoles for the time being (deals with the other two aside).

Zesteria will also likely be a PS3 exclusive aswell, so Tales fans have no choice. Theres gonna be 5 exclusive Tales games on the PS3. Its a no-brainer. Though i dont recommend Graces. xD
