Of course he would. Money talks.

Also vita is "best" as in.... ?

Funny guy... you have complained about xbo trolling and here you are.

On the thread topic, good for him, I agree and I have had both systems and I love playing my vita and play it actively, especially at lunch. I look forward to see what he will bring to the system as there are many indies that look like good fun. Also with the ps4 remote play, good things are coming, good things.(Grandmas Boy Reference)

Tell me about it.  I mean I really don't know if I have ever seen a more  desperate attempt to attack Playstation.  It's like he is grasping at straws...

Funny how those who say that about people are the biggest offenders being biased towards Sony. Captain_tom, liquorandgunfun, kupomogli, the list doesn't end.

Anyway, reading Kowen's post I see no trolling in it. A bit obnoxious to assume it's only money talking, but there's no trolling in that. Also, Bernard says it's the best handheld, but in what way he doesn't say.

So when have I trolled?  And what exactly do you define trolling as?

On this site "Trolling" is a bad word and people get banned for the littlest of things...

I never said you were trolling, I said you were biased towards Sony... and so a post like Kowen's will make your circuitry go haywire, just as much as you will be more than quick to put down a non-Sony console or positive piece of news for a Nintendo console, for instance.

I may have a preference, but I am not "Biased."  I am not blind to Sony's faults or MS's gains.  In fact  I think Sony made some major design mistakes with the PS4, and that Micrsoft kept Sony in check and is responsible for the amazing online services we have now.  But nothing I have said was untrue, or made up.

This is an interesting article, but not because this guy loves Vita so much, but because - if you look into it - his current praise for Sony seems to reveal his problems as a developer which seem to be mostly selfmade:

"Mecho Wars" is a great looking game but it's also extreeemely inspired by Advance Wars, to put it mildly (have a look: http://www.appvee.com/t/mecho-wars ). Is that the reason it never made it to DS and Wii even though it was planned to according to its wikipedia entry?

His game prior to "Mecho Wars" - "Eternity's Child" - was planned for WiiWare but he cancelled this version. It's available on Steam only afaik but - quote - "Eternity's Child was initially developed for Xbox Live Arcade, and was one of the first games to be made with the XNA toolset. On September 9, 2007, it was revealed that it was changed to a retail Nintendo DS game as well as a downloadable WiiWare game.[4] However, Bernard later confirmed that the Nintendo DS version has been canceled,[5] while also announcing that the game will come to PCs via Steam.[6] Bernard is also considering releasing the game on the PlayStation 3 through the PlayStation Store, though he insists the WiiWare version will still be the best iteration of the game because of the platform specific controls.[7]" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternity's_Child#Development ).
By the way: Steam buyers were disappointed with "Eternity's Child" (they said the game is incomplete: http://steamcommunity.com/app/19500 ) and furthermore Bernard seemed to have broken his promise of expanding the game with new levels .

"Mecho Wars" may have been released as PSP mini, but it was originally designed for tablets and is available on iOS and Android (it was released for iPhone already in 2009). It's also available for PC and Mac. Was the game not successful despite being on 5 platforms?

"Mecho Wars" was planned for a release on Steam as well (he already promised it three years ago http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1483196 ) but unlike "Eternity's Child" it seems it never made it for whatever reason. Another broken promise. Which is interesting because if there's one platform that can boost your indie game sales, it's Steam.

Most recent disappointment:
Crowdfunding of his upcoming game "Imagination Is The Only Escape" (planned for PC, iOS, Android, Playstation Vita and Mac) currently fails brutally at indiegogo, not even $5000 of the intended $125.000 are collected and only seven days two go: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/imagination-is-the-only-escape . No wonder he hopes Sony picks it up.

So is the Vita really his favorite system and Sony really his favorite company or just his last resort as all other channels failed (he basically tried any platform at some point and abandoned most of them quickly), i.e. with these statements is a once promising indie developer actually saying "Sony, everything I made up to now failed more or less, I'm desperate, please buy me"?

The Obese Princess and the White Cow.

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful obese princess, called Princess Ballmer. She was growing happy, eating whatever she saw, until a bad day, the ugly Phony Witch appeared in her once happy kingdom, and started threatening and harassing her. Obese Princess Ballmer was now a damsel in distress, so she considered calling a plumber for help, but as usual, they were all busy when you need them. So the obese princess decided to fall back on an evergreen classic, and she called the Prince Charming to the rescue. Prince Charming should have rushed to her aid, brandishing his formidable sword and riding his wonderful White Cow, but he was busy watching TV TV TV TV TV, so he just sent his wonderful White Cow. The White Cow was an amazing beast, but she had no hands so she couldn't fence, but she didn't give up: she started pursuing the ugly Phony Witch in all her threads, stealth trolling her until she died of apoplexy and finally the obese Princess Ballmer and the White Cow could live together happily ever after... Until Princess Ballmer tried to eat the White Cow too, that escaped giving her the finger, exclaiming: "Next time you need help, call that ugly black pug"!

The End

Not sure what you mean by this line.

Best as in his opinion you mean? or best as in handheld device? It wouldnt be best as in games xD

He says its the best handheld, without saying why.

Is it the most powerful? the easiest to develop for? the best colour with the prettiest buttons? the best at selling software and making him money?....

could be a secret, maybe he knows whats in store for the vita/ps4  its just his opinion at the end of the day

Bravo! Bravo!

Literally though, I shed a tear. Though it was always hard for me to think "the White Cow is not Ballmer, he's the princess". Well done.

Wow! This article turned really off topic didn't it? lol!
