I think though in my original comment I acknowledged this.  The realworld bandwidth that Microsoft has achieved is 70-80% of the maximum theorethical.  And they state the reason why no system can achieve the maximum theorethical, not even Sony.  I don't disagree that theoretical maximum's aren't necessarily a figure we should use, but you can't say the PS4 will achieve 176GB/s and then say the Xbox One won't achieve its theorethical max when neither can reach it.

You are right but PS4 have more change to archive close the peak bandwidth than Xbone... in fact the eSRAM + DDR3 system have more bottlenecks than a single GDDR5 pool.

Why are you so worried about the the ESRAM ? It's 32 god damn megabytes! It's so tiny that it's almost a non factor to the system's bandwidth performance.

Ok so we should also get rid of caches, right? Really, don't talk if you don't know what you are talking about.

Very pessimistic take. The pace of technology is exponential, I'd be surprised if quantum computers weren't on the public market within a decade.

PS: Most smart phones have a gps receiver.

I doubt that. They're currently only efficient for a small subset of tasks and it'll be difficult to leverage their power for most people.

In 10 years it'll still be in the domain of academia I think.

They certainly pose a risk to most encryption algorithms if they work as advertised. NP complete problems will be solved in P time.

Fact: ps4 is more powerful, get over it.
Fact: ps4 is cheaper
Fact: launch titles mean very little in the course of a consoles lifespan
Opinion: while I'm still getting an Xbox one, I know the ps4 will have a better stream of games with a higher diversity over its lifespan
Opinion: take heart, Xbox fans, thanks to Nintendo dropping the ball the Xbox one may end up being the first Microsoft console to not come dead last, but certainly will not be coming first.

These are simple things and rather obvious to all but the deluded.

Fact: xbox one can read your heart
Fact: playstation 4 cannot
Conclusion: xbox one is more power

I cant see cloud processing being a big feature or many developers using it.
in the event that it does become a revolutionary and profitable feature, whats stopping Sony from buying servers to serve the same purpose, or even improve on what microsoft have already done?
Likewise, whats stopping Sony from releasing an update that overclocks PS4's to 1.75GHz?

I can already guarantee you that they will make more RAM available for developers. I dont believe for a second that the PS4 will need 3GB of RAM. They are just playing it safe so they dont end up short from RAM for OS features like they did with the PS3 (even the ps3 freed up some RAM later on).

Also, dont forget the PS4 has an extra chip too to handle background downloads and some other stuff.

Third party games will probably be equal for the sake of developers not bothering to optimise, but in terms of exclusives I cant see XB1 coming near PS4 when the big games start showing up 2 years down the line.

Oops realized I made a mistake in the OP and forgot to include the triangle setup rates in the PS4 part of the table.

Both PS4 and XB1 GPU have two triangle setup engines. However PS4's GPU operates at 800 mhz while X1's operates at 853 mhz. This means X1 can setup 7% more geometry over PS4.

Updated OP to include.

PS4 is uncomfortably unbalanced .

Huh? Is your complaint legit or you just dont like PS4 being deficient in another spec?

It's true by the way. The geometry setup of GPU's is pretty fundamental (polygons). X1 has a 7% edge in that area simply due to it's higher clock than Ps4.

That's the point... you need to understand what you will write before post... we are starting to write nonsenses.
