Right, because they are "sick" and I wish not to "catch" it. That's not their fault, they simply caught "the bug" from years of indoctrination. Just as someone with influenza isn't at fault, or dirty, or whatever you said (hilarious stuff btw), but I certainly don't wish to contract it. You refuse to understand my position, because you initially took offense for no reason. None is intended. PS: Learn the difference between Communism (a gov't system) and Antitheism (the concept that religion is bad) and then slap yourself in the face for conflating entirely different concepts. |
Seeing religious beliefs as a disease to the extent that you have to wash your hands is the same as me claiming homosexuality is a disease and I have to ''disinfect'' myself after coming in contact with a gay person. Yet I know for a fact that you would call me a bigot for it, but when you apply the same pejorative to religion, it isnt bigotry?
And I am refering to the quote in your sig the way Nietzsche meant it (not the way you can spin it), and that is that he finds religious people repulsive, sick and/or disgusting, you know, the same way Hitler viewed the Jews. It really is the purest form of bigotry and you trying to defend it really is mind boggling.
And Anthitheism is a part of communism the same way Antisemitism is a part of National Socialism

I watched the documentary and read the supporting material. |
Does anybody have a link?
I only want to see how ridiculous the program is. It tells a lot about the person if he has belief in such a pathetic conspiracy theory.

Disease is inaccurate. I see it as a tainted worldview; a failure to be a skeptic. Comparing a belief system to sexuality is really quite inept. One is a philosophical system of beliefs which you can choose to agree or disagree about, and the other is something you don't get to decide.
I find it hilarious that you're speaking for Nietzsche. It isn't a literal thing. It's simply an expression of how someone not in that cult feels about it. Religious types are viewed as being "sick" metaphorically. It isn't about being disgusting or anything, which you keep bringing up for some reason...
Nice job at Godwin's Law. I think you've defeated your own argument.
You don't seem to understand the difference between being anti-establishment and being anti-individual. Antitheism is about the establishment, not the people who subcribe to it. Antisemitism is about the individuals.

One is a philosophical system of beliefs which you can choose to agree or disagree about, and the other is something you don't get to decide. But its not about comparing sexuality to a belief. Its about feeling repuslive about a group of people that you dont agree with due to their lifestyle. But yeah, biological sexual orientation is closer to being called a disease than a religious belief. ( not that you would care either way if Christians didnt have a problem with gays) I find it hilarious that you're speaking for Nietzsche. It isn't a literal thing. It isn't about being disgusting or anything, which you keep bringing up for some reason... I love it how you try to sugar coat it and casualize it with stuff like ''its simply an expression'' lol. ''God hates fags'' is also just ''an expression'', right? ''Washing hands after coming in contact'' implies (very very clearly) that he hates religious people to the extent that he uses that degrading metaphore to describe it. I mean, the bigotry is clearly visible. I think you got caught on your own bigotry and now you are trying to cover it up OR you are extremly delusional if you dont see any type of degredation in that sentence. Nice job at Godwin's Law. I think you've defeated your own argument. You don't seem to understand the difference between being anti-establishment and being anti-individual. Antitheism is about the establishment, not the people who subcribe to it. Antisemitism is about the individuals. One can not exist without the other. Anti establishment only works if anti-individualism is present. Do you think Nazi Germany would be anti semantic if its leaders and the individuals living there weren't ? Dumb analogy, try again. |
