Yeah yeah. Was just reliving the good ol' days when ps3 was doomed and GT was dead.

I miss that.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

Probably. Lets be honest, GT5 has had a lot of physical bundles and its been $20 with DLC for years. Sony has pushed this game for a long time.

Yep. SONY's doing it riight.

Yeah, but its pointless to compare directly with Halo 3. No Halo game has been bundeled as much or pushed as hard simply because there was a new Halo game every few years.

MS is also doing the right thing with Halo, more releases made it significantly more proftiable than Gran Turismo.

What next? Boast about GT5 selling better than a PS3 port of CoD? Who cares, there is a new one every year.

Halo 3 digital sales.
Halo 3 goes free in 7 days, for 15 days for XBox 360 Gold members.
That could be 1,2,3 million? 10 million? Any XBox Live Gold subscriber can download them World Wide.

So nope.

Doesn't work that way.

Sony has bundled many units of GT5 with consoles. But it was a physical copy.

Free digital copies don't count. Only free physical copies are considered a sale.

Edit: Actually Halo 3 isn't free. You need to have Gold. So... it should be treated as a sale. :-p

Forgetting about the 5.35M copies of GT5:Prologue?

"Free''

You do know that bundled games are not free, right? Bundling has a function; to sell you the console the games are bundled with. So they still make money. Add to that, bundles are often more expensive than the solus version.

I am obviously refferring to bundles that include a game with no price increase.

MS giving Halo 3 also serves a function. It encrouages to people to subscribe or upgrade to Gold mebmership. But some people seem to think its charity and not a sale.

Many of those were bundles as well.

Lets include Halo ODST as well I guess. It shared the multiplayer of Halo 3 and that's a big reason people buy Halo games.

How many is many? Also, talking like Halo 3 didn't get bundles...
