The point is why are there adverts at all, every site i visit has adverts to pay for it to exist, Why when you pay for a premium device, pay a yearly sub and pay for each piece of content you consume on said device is it doing any ads that arent related to its own store. i dont want to opt out of targeted ads i want to opt out of all ads and data collection.

Apparently not. I reported it hours ago... nothing.

There are a number of threads and posts today that are way over the line.  All reported.  No action.

Two of the threads are lies. No action.

 


You can just look at the history of the Thread poster and tell that is the intent.

I suggest you read the rest of the posts here.  I also doubt there will be any differemce between MS and Sony on this within 12 months.  Sony has to monetise better, they have been shit at it the last few years.


Thats just spin on your part, BUT if Sony do start doing none PSN Store ads ill be bitching about them as well. 

Its not gonna stop me getting an XOne but im not gonna sit and smile about it and defend it, more than likely i will be able to just block the ads from my router anyway.

I think you are being harsh, he is obviously a very balanced poster.  Look at his sig, he has a go at Microsoft, Nintendo and..... oh.


I guess he must be then. But then again he posts that Sony doesn't use DRM. Does he know that all digital games on home consoles are all DRM protected, including ones downloaded on the PS3 and PS VIta?

For me, it's only the ads that are not game related that bother me. If they are advertising new games on the store, I actually find that often useful.

Not sure why, maybe something with the way the tiles flip, but the ads on my PS3 dash seem more anoying.

Yeah i specifically mentioned store ads being fine in my view as well.
