Have these reviews actually changed anybodys mind on getting the game?
Shaknews
If David Cage was aspiring to be like a Hollywood director, he's succeeded with Beyond: Two Souls. Perhaps he can be best compared to George Lucas. Both are visionaries, with exciting views on the future of cinema and games, respectively. However, neither are particularly skilled storytellers. With Beyond, Cage shows us what the future of games could be--but ultimately fails to take us there

I never let reviewers change my mind about a game I'm sure I would enjoy.
EDIT: Okay, let me say that they *could* actually delay my decision to purchase it until I have more time and money to spare, but ultimately I would play it anyway.
I'm rather pleased with the review score, to be honest. The only way to get a very high review score is to offer pretty much standard gameplay and focus. Anything different and you get polarization, which is fine by me.
Honestly, that's why anyone going solely by Metacritic score is going to be as adventuresome as a turtle. The reviews are up and down, just as I imagined they would be.

David Cage's wish of being bought up by Sony is probably squashed now that he is a one trick pony. $27 million dollars down the drain.
I have no clue how metacritic scores shacknews a 5/10 when they dont giive a score and the review is more positive than good

Jim Sterling pretty openly dislikes David Cage and his approach to games, so that score isn't surprising.
