To be honest, the Vita is an amazing hand-held, but I doubt it's going to sell well. Its been 2 years since it launched, and many games for it that are considered "must buys" like Uncharted, Gravity Rush, PS All Stars, Resistance, And now Killzone. Even after all these titles, the Vita is barely selling (Most likely cost of cards).
The Wii U is on the opposite side. It came out almost a year ago, has few "must buy" Nintendo games, and hasn't been properly advertised. The Wii U at this point will sell better than the Vita.

I say Wii U is doomed, meaning it will not only sell les than Vita but also fail to catch up with Gamecube.

I'm in the 'interesting debates on gaming forums' are doomed.

I felt I was acting too much like a Sony fanboy, so I gave myself fresh perspective and dressed up my profile like a Nintendo fanboy. Didn't change the content of my posts, but all of a sudden Nintendo guys were agreeing with me and Sony guys were calling me a Ninty fanboy. After a few weeks of gaining their trust, I moved on to Microsoft and had the same thing happen. Microsoft guys who always disagreed with me started saying "yeah good post Joe" and Nintendo guys disliked me again.

I ended that after I returned from my summer break and now just use my avatar and sig to troll and manipulate people. Since I'm talking about a lot of pro Nintendo stuff right now, I have a pro Nintendo look. This makes it much easier to talk with other Nintendo fans. When Beyond comes out I'm planning to switch over to that stuff so that I can chat with Sony fans about the game and be taken seriously.

Also on top of all this over summer break some things changed and I realized my identity was probably going to be revealed in the coming year so I've had to think a lot more before each post. I really don't want to say things that will reflect poorly on me if in the future people go back and check out my history. It's really improved my posting etiquette.

TLDR; Yeah I was pleasantly surprised by Nintendo and have a much deeper love for all three companies than I used to. I'm not mocking any fan group.

I have a Vita and I love it, and going to use the stream play when I buy my PS4, at launch.
I think this can turn things around to the Vita and it can eventually get to 40 million on the long run, like, 7 years.
But I still think the WiiU can pull out a Gamecube level of sucess, 20 million lifetime with some good profit on the Nintendo exclusive software and no third party support whatsoever.

Both will end up pulling in respectable numbers, with Wii U prob outselling Vita in the end. Both are great systems and dont deserve to be mocked, i mean why would anybody want them to fail? the more choice the better.
