I hope not. I have one pre-ordered solely for resale. If it looks like they'll keep stock, then I'll have to cancel my pre-order or give it to a buddy who actually wants one but was too stupid to pre-order.

Wii U sold very high (higher than PS360 and nearing Wii) during launch holiday. It was commonly in stores due to how nintendo shipped it. Previous launches retailers got big stock for Sundays to match advertising and therefore had droughts all week.
This time Nintendo forced retailers to take small shipments all week long and they were not allowed to store them for weekends, intstead they got a small shipment on weekends too. This still sold a large number of consoles, but did so by sprinkling it every other day vs dumping on one day.
If MSony follows same plan, then regardless of how hot they are, you'll have good chance finding in store if you're persistent. If they do a traditional shipment model, then it will only be long lines on Sunday mornings and sold out rest of week.

I'm inclined to agree. Even if you don't find one in a brick-and-mortar store, I'm sure you'll find one for a reasonable price on eBay.

Never said Sony was in fact creating a shortage, just that could.
I never said there was no demand at all, just not on the level Sony is trying to convince people of.
I am sure the Sony loyal will buy it, just like they bought Vita and PSP go and PS3.
At my local WM they are still taking pre-orders available on launch day, and you have until december 12/13th to finish paying it off, so I would say yes.

Thank you man there's still a glimmer of hope then.
In my entire life, I've only seen it happen twice where I couldn't find a gaming console at launch. The PS2 and the Wii.

Woah relax dude... I didnt suggest you said anything, I was backing up my own comments. I.E I think it will sell very well, but if Sony deliver the consoles in a big enough number they will be fine.

I seriously doubt it. PS4 Pre-Orders are "Sold Out" and there's going to be many crazed fans waiting to buy the extras that the stores might have.
But, the main question is, why are you coming here? To Florida?
