Woooow! somebody brought up a good point! Since its a critical move 100% it ignores boost in special Def, ike Cressilia/etc!

Thinking it over now.....the weather nerf may be an attempt to restrict weather to Doubles.
Doubles is a very fast metagame, so 5 turns of weather complement this.
Thunder, Hurricane, and Fire Blast also got reduced to 110
They all were already nerfed by weather reduction, now the damage nerf is a (soft) kick to the balls

forget that ice beathe got a huge boost this gen! 180 stronger than blizzard+ special def boost =ignored

Wasn't weather normally only a 5 turn move anyway?
So isn't the Nerf really just making abilities like Draught just more in line with the ingame moves?
I'm curious though as to switching. Does the 5 turn thing restart if you switch out and back in. I assume yes.

that was unecessary, especially fire blast since it has no perfect acurracy on sunny weather.
