if you select the option to auto sync everything and auto download at a specific time of night. will the ps3 do it quietly like the vita or will it boot up as normal making alot of noise becuase that wold probably wake me up. im a vewry light sleeper

I'm pretty sure it sounds like a normal start when my unit wakes up, but well my PS3 is very quiet.

I'm fairly certain it boots up normally. If it's a concern I suggest setting it up to autosynch when you're at work or some other daily required absence from your place. Even if you want to play during the autosynch I've never had a problem. My autosynch is set to happen at night, but I'll often unplug my PS3 to save electricity. Then when I plug it back in it starts the autosynch, but you can stop it whenever you like pretty much instantly so it's no issue. Usually takes about 5 minutes far as I can tell.

My PS3 is quiet but I can hear the beep when I'm already wake up (my setting is 8am).

And the sound is like you turning it on.

Yeah, it's just like turning it on, beeps and everything.

I don't hear mine unless I'm awake but then I do sleep with a pillow over my head, so ... never mind me. I also set mine for the early morning, though, instead of late night, which is when I should be in deep sleep. I think that helps.

My system is in my living room, so I have no idea. If you set it to 3 or 4am, it probably won't wake you. You can't be that light of a sleeper can you?
