Good idea, I think it'd have been lost in Dec, after BF, and would have done less than impressive sales. At least this way it can pad out Q1 before Mario Kart.

It'll get close to 5mil but it ain't reaching it unless nintendo has some other moderate game in the pipeline. I think it will probably hit 4.85mil by the end of 2013.

wanna bet it'll get over that? You underestimate Nintendo easily

How about we make this interesting. The wii u will not pass the vita by the end of the year.

cuz it is lol. 2 of nintendo main platformers next to each other isn't a good idea, and we will get the game early next year. its a smart move on nintendo pushing it back. Most WiiU owners have a 3ds and we have LoZ/Mario Party coming out as well. They can maintain sales thru early next year by doing this. Think outside the box

How is that making it interesting? Vita is heading toward 6mil soon and then much more, with holiday sales it'll end up having 9mil -11mil sales. Im trying to prove you wrong by stating wii u sales will get over 5mil. You not taking the bet means your not confident with your own "its impossible for wiiu to sell 5million without DK" statement. If you cant back it up fine. No bet

Overcrowded holiday schedule means this is no trouble whatsoever. I'm already forced to boot Sonic and Zelda into the backlog, one of them as a christmas gift, one post-christmas (e.g. whenever i get done with Pokemon Y, which is going to take a while, just like all Pokemon...). DKCTF might actually land just in time.

Though when the hell i'll have time to finish KOTOR II re-run, i don't know...

It's not the end of the world. That said, it's painfully obvious everyone but EAD Tokyo over at Nintendo was not ready to start this generation at all. They seem to be the only studio for Nintendo that can be reliably banked on to give Nintendo a very high quality game in 2 years development time, everyone else seems to need 2 1/2-3 years in between projects.

My suspicion with DKR: TF is that Retro was actually working on something else after DKCR ... Nintendo didn't like the way the project was going or realized it would take too long to make and quickly shifted Retro to a quickie DKC sequel. 

No way Retro is so incompetent that this is the best they can do in the 3 years since DKCR even if they did help out with Mario Kart 7.

I was sad to see this happen, but Retro knows what they're doing. It'll be good when it comes out.
