From this article his saying that it doesn't matter who has the most powerful system but his also not saying PS4 is more powerful. Sick of reading people's post saying "duh now it doesn't matter" It never mattered. PS2 was the weakest system (even though Sony claimed it the most powerful) but did that matter to anyone? Games matter and right now XB1 has the advantage.

Has the advantage in your opinion, don't confuse opinion with fact.

Fact shows XB1 has the better launch line up, like it or not. XB1 games easily won more awards at the shows then any other.

Again this is a matter of opinion and not fact, winning awards doesn't mean a thing to a persons individual opinion.

If a person likes indie games would they say Xbox has the advantage in games?, if a person preferred Sony or Nintendo exclusives would they say the Xbox had the advantage in games? If they owned a high spec PC and planned on buying Titan fall for that and not an Xbox one would they still say the Xbox has an advantage? In all of these cases the answer would be no, in all of these cases its down to an individuals opinion, in all cases where someone believes the Xbox has the advantage in terms of games, like it or not, it is just a matter of personal opinion.

The only fact here is that either console could be launching with just a single game compared to the rival console launching with 100 and if a particular person liked that one game, to them, that console would have the advantage.

But hey, if you want to go off of awards handed out to games that aren't even finished and haven't even been reviewed, then by all means do so, just know and understand that when it comes to a consumer, individual opinion termines which retail product has an advantage, nothing else.

Your right opinions mean everything, and right now more people like what they see on XB1 then PS4 or WiiU.

You clearly didn't comprehend, or read what was said.

A persons individual opinion has nothing to do with anyone else's or 'popular' opinion.

Additionally a large portion of those awards are for a game which will launch with a PC version, with no indication of which version the award is specifically for, simply that its for the game in general, which is essentially like adding up awards for a multi platform game across all major consoles then trying to attribute that award count to just one.

But to be nice and clear here. Advantage is assigned by an individual based on that particular individuals opinion, there is no 'fact' involved because preview opinions has no bearing on retail performance and ultimately, the purpose of any advantage is to move units and make money, we won't know the outcome of that until it happens so until then there are no facts, only guesses and opinions.

And that's the last I'm saying on this topic because if you still fail to comprehend it after this post then either you don't WANT to comprehend it or you are too biased to give on the topic, either outcome suggests continuing is a complete waste of energy.

The facts are that the PS4 has MORE games announced, better games incoming. better specs under it's hood AND it's cheaper.

PS4 has more games coming but not at Launch giving XB1 a better launch lineup, Better games is in your opinion, if they were better then they will win more awards, Better specs? prove it. Cheaper without the camera. You live off blind logic.

?? The launch lineups are about on par, and how can people be arguing over games that are not even released? For all we know half of launch titles are crap. launch titles are pretty meaningless in the success of a console and have a spotty track record.

Why are people acting like launch games are all that matters?

Advanatge how? Sony does when you factor in f2p, indies and their first party. Launch lineups are pretty forgetable in the long run.

Tell that to Nintendo...

So agree with you...We had this a few weeks ago.. people trying to assert their opinion as fact.. it's really quite annoying that the people who are sprouting this cannot make out the difference between the two things.

At the end of the day, people should go and enjoy the consoles/games they like most.

Ultimately console sales will prove which is the better console in terms of tech, performance, value for money, games library. No one is ever going to be able to figure out what portion of the user base purchased a console because of just cost alone, or because of performance or because of friends or because of the games library... So whichever sells the best obviously can be considered to have those components that make it the better console.

I am sure some people will say, look at the wii, it sold the most and had a crap library. Well for me I purchased one and had about 5 games, and thought it was pants - got a PS3 and got about 200 games, but guess what thats *opinion*... sure others might have purchased tons of games for it and loved it.

Also this concept "more people like what they see on the XboxOne" - would love to know who has done the telephone/internet poll of all the millions of gamers out there.

Finally, I am hoping this puts to bed the "Secret Sauce" stuff now that the invisible NDA has run out.

Microsoft just loses interest in their console after 4 or 5 years and doesn't release games for it anymore. Look at the original Xbox and the 360, very little games from Microsoft after 2010. While the PS3 is getting new games every month.

So far there's two Xbox 360 exclusive games announced for 2014, while there's only one for Ps3. Who's losing interest in which console? Huh? Who's losing it? ô.ô

Sony is still heavily supporting the PS3. So starting soon you'll see a lot more games for the PS4. If these consoles were an annual thing, like the iPhone or something, then you'd be right. But i want good support for the PS4 in the future as well. Something you won't see happening with Microsoft's console offerings.

A lot of people seem to forget that the 360 is a year older than PS3 and for 2012 (the equivalent of 2013 for PS3) Microsoft published the following for 360:

3 Point Contest
Alan Wake's American Nightmare
Bloodforge
Dance Central 3
Darts Vs Zombies
Deadlight
Diabolical Pitch
Dragon's Lair
Dungeon Fighter Live
Dust: An Elysian Tail
Fable Heroes
Fable: The Journey
Fez
Field Goal Contest
Fire Pro Wrestling
Forza Horizon
Halo 4
Happy Action Theater
Happy Wars
Haunt
Homerun Stars
Intel Discovered
Joe Danger: The Movie
Joy Ride Turbo
Kinect Nat Geo TV
Kinect Party
Kinect Rush: A Disney-Pixar Adventure
Kinect Sesame Street TV
Kinect Sports: Ultimate Collection
Kinect Star Wars
Mark of the Ninja
Minecraft
Nike+ Kinect Training
Prize Driver
Reaction Rally
Red Bull Crashed Ice
Sine Mora
Ski Race
South Park: Tenorman's Revenge
Spelunky
The Splatters
Trials Evolution
Wreckateer

That's a decent lineup for a system of that age (2 of those games look like they'll end up with sales of between 8-11 million).

Then there's the fact that Microsoft has been opening up more game studios in the last couple of years and are putting even more money into Xbox One game development than they did with 360.

its funny isnt it how actions speak louder than words. How many times have microsoft had to try and justify/defend themselves compared to sony. give up already. while they are somewhat right they clearly care about power with the defending their doing.

Cheaper with a camera too, but no one wants a camera so its a mute point.

Then I better be seeing a blockbuster title pronto within the launch window microsoft otherwise you were all just talk because both of these hd twins don't have anything special within those time frames now.

best is subjective. ..but quantity is not and ps4's announced library is almost twice a big as xbone's.

so to phil i say, "it is about the games. ..and that's part of why ps4 is winning".

That's announced though, not launch. Launch Xbox One has advantage by 1 I believe. And when comparing announced, Sony has japanese titles and indies, of which Xbox One surely has several still in the bag that are unannounced.

For Phil's argument, he's talking purely launch games, which is correct.

Let's come back to this at the end of 2014 and see how the situation looks :)

Announcements are all that matter.

Don't you know that FF13 verus won the generation for PS3.  That announcement was all PS3 needed to win.  No game on the ps3 is better than that game.  Oh and agent also kicks ass.  But lets not forget Last Guardian.  Oh too many great games coming to the PS3, what do i do.
