lol panthers take lou just to stay above the cap probably

And sent Thomas to Dallas, I'm guessing Thomas was getting tired of getting bitchslapped by the B's behind that....fearsome Panther's D lol.

I like Thomas. Wish him the best of luck. I like Dallas too (thanks to Belfour). was watching them in '97 (i think) playoffs with Hull, Belfour and Modano

I respect Thomas, I think he's a pretty brilliant tender when he's got the right team in front of him (then again, the same could be said for most netminders), but I wasn't entirely thrilled with his last year w/ the B's, and how he handled the whole thing, and when players start getting political it's just not something I want to hear.  Not only are there better places to get news/analysis about it, but...I like the separation.  I don't wish him ill or anything, though, just glad he's gone from the Bruins.

I think Minnesota did enough to hold onto an 8 spot in the west. Tough to lose your goal tender.

Yeah, they're pretty much stuck in 7th/8th since Colorado is too far ahead to get in a top 4 spot and with the new conference standings rules, they can't pass the Kings even if they have more points than them.

They'll be fine with goaltending I think, Backstrom had been playing poorly all year. Kuemper is doing really well so far aside from a terrible first two games. Will probably be a tough first round for the bottom 4 teams anyway.

Goaltending wise, on paper, yeah. Steve Ott is a joke though, adds no serious threat to the team. Blues gave up Stewart who is a much better player than Ott.

I hope the sabers badness follow those two and curse the blues

But to be more specific about what pissed me of is: I would straight trade crawford for miller any day of the week and Stan Bowman made no real moves except for a Dman that we dont really need. They got rid of Pirri (though Q didnt like him much), Hossa is injury prone, Bickle isnt performing for that contract he got, Handzous should have retired, Rantaa isn't dependable backup for a so-so starter.

When a forward goes down we put a Dman in his place sometime (a mediocre dman at that) and since hossa goes down often now... ulgh. The Ice Hogs arent a good team either so calling a forward up from them isnt really acceptable. We definitly needed to get some depth for forward or backup and instead Bowman got a Dman when our D is pretty much solid 1-6. Sorry, forgot Regin from the Islanders (lol)
