I do. As with Veknoid, it won't influence my purchase eventually, but it'll probably make it a lot slower.

Voted for good but don't care. I skipped ps2 era for the most part and when I got my ps3 I made a thread asking what good ps2 games did I miss out on. I played maybe 10 ps2 games (GoW 1&2, Onimusha 1&2, Jak 1, RE4) and never returned.

Its important to me, I would like it if Microsoft and Sony came out with an attachment that you could connect via USB to the X1/PS4 and that would make it backwards compatible, I'm not sure how it would work, but I think that sounds reasonable to say its possble.  Also its completely optional so people that don't want it can just ignore it.

If you care about backwards compatibility, you're really backwards.

The next gen, yes. If either console had 360/ps3 BC respectively, I'd probably go with that one.

It matters quite a bit to me. The less devices needed to play my games the better, and I do play a lot of last-gen games.
I have yet to buy a PS3 or a 360 so it would had been a huge plus if any of their successors had had BC.

Just wait for Gaikai next year and see what that service is like before jumping on board. If it has lots of titles and is an excellent service this should fulfill your needs

Necessary? No Convenient and awesome? Heck yes! I still play GC games and had to get another one when I got the Wii U
