I haven't played any of the next gen games yet so I really couldn't tell you. From what I've seen so far, I will say no. It won't be the best online experience. It certainly looks more fun than previous Killzone online experiences and I'm sure that the game will score well. I do like what I'm hearing about replacing XP with Challenges, the ability to highly customize Warzones, and that all map packs will be free. The game is visually beautiful and the weapons look satisfying to shoot. The special abilities could be cool too.
However, no matter how polished the game is the one thing that keeps me from being more excited about it than any other similar online experience is the fact that it's essentially a basic shooter. A beautiful and no doubt polished basic shooter, but basic nonetheless. It doesn't have the massive maps with vehicles, the large player counts, or the destructible environments of Battlefield 4. It doesn't have the satisfying kill streaks of Call of Duty. It doesn't have the weapon count of either.
Guerrilla Games didn't really take any chances with the multiplayer beyond Warzone customization. They're playing it safe and giving us a standard experience. That's not to say that the game will be no fun. The addition of weapon attachments alone already puts it above the previous Killzone multiplayer offerings in my eyes. I just wouldn't hold my breath for any kind of GOTY nomination.
I should mention that I feel it's very likely that when GG inevitably makes another KZ game, they'll probably try a lot of new things for the franchise then as far as multiplayer goes. Being a launch title has its advantages and disadvantages. In this case I just think they had to trim a lot. They were working with early devkits that did not afford them the full utilization of the PS4's resources. So there were some things they probably wanted to do but couldn't. Not to mention they focused a lot on changing up the way their SP campaign plays out.
