NSMBU has had 3 updates already, so while they aren't releasing broken games (yet) they are now comfortable releasing unfinished games. Whether or not Nintendo customers who don't own the Wii U have higher standards is irrelevant, as they obviously aren't going to be buying Wii U games. And anyone who owns a Wii U can't claim to have high standards anymore. This is a system releasing 6-7 years after the PS3 & 360, yet markedly slower with promised features still missing.

You lost all credibility here; is that some kind of joke ? What kind of logic and generalization is that ?

It's an unfinished console by Nintendo's own admission. It's what we have to put up with to play Nintendo games right now, and buying a Wii U shows that unfinished products are no longer beneath us. It would be hypocrisy to bash Ubisoft for large patches and own a Wii U.

Have you seen the sales  of the WiiU? Speak for yourself.

Do you mean the 3DS? I'm obviously only talking about Nintendo home console games and Wii U owners. 3DS owners can hold their heads high, as they get Nintendo games and can look down on day one patches.

Well, I've finally skimmed through the thread - bloody hell, so much butthurt in one place, it would be funny if it wasn't sad - even going as far as saying Ubi is incapable of making good $60 games.

I honestly suggest for certain people to go to

http://www.metacritic.com/company/ubisoft?filter-options=games&num_items=30&sort_options=metascore

and see what journalist last 10 or so years think of Ubi. Oh, and for those who try to pull "frickin' journalists" card, those are the very same journalists that rate all other games as well - yes, including Nintendo's.

Metacritic doesn't prove quality. It's just a collection of opinions. Quality is subjective.

It's still gimping to give one version of a game unequal treatment. They treat Wii U owners like second classs citizens and then wonder why their games don't sell to Nintendo gamers.

Batman will be $10 cheaper on WiiU though. Let's see if that neutralizes the gimping.

not in aus. ontop of that, we don't get the two special editions so why woudl I buy it on Wii U when I can get the nice cool limited edition on PS3.

you wouldnt.

but i have a general question. If someone has a PS3 or 360 even, why complain.

Because I'd rather play them with what I deem a far more interesting controller.

I was referring to your previous conversation with Rol I believe, in which Rol stated that nintendo gamers are accustomed to a certain standard of quality. Then you stated that low quality standards are no longer beneath us (I assume you meant fans of nintendo games) because of the wiiU. So I sort to prove you wrong by referring you to the sales of the wiiU which shows most are not accepting it.

Whew, I think I have already typed too much in a redundant thread.

(...) Ubisoft (...) They fucked up with Rayman, I was going to get t until I heard that it was going to be multiplatform - then what's the point?

It's still arguably the best version of the game, so why does it matter if it went multiplatform ?

Loyalty works both ways.

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

I really meant Wii U owners, sorry if that wasn't clear. If you check out the last page I do mention the Nintendo gamers without a Wii U can still have high standards, but that isn't really relevant when talking about patches for Wii U games.

Do you think Nintendo fans are passing on the console right now because of the hardware itself? I kind of assumed that it was the lack of games, but you could be right. Are you going to skip the Wii U? I considered it, but I'm not sure I could miss out on a gen of Nintendo games so I caved. But if not buying it guaranteed their next console would be better I would do it.

The OS is rather a work in progress if that's what you mean.

I mean the 3DS has a better OS, but the WiiU has better functionality.
