There has been a ton of info coming from valve regarding the steambox, but just who is it targeting? If, I'm correct, it seems to be an upgradable box hooked right to your living room. What is the point though, since that is essentially a pc? I can't imagine console gamers would have much interest in the steambox if it's essentially a pc you can keep upgrading to get better performance. Consoles are there for convenient gaming that doesn't make you tinker around with the hardware to get the performance you want. If it does out perform the ps4/xbox one right from the preset, then it would prob cost more then them. Wouldn't it be better to just get a pc then which is the same thing? I guess console gamers who want steam sales could benefit from the steambox, but performance wise, it wouldn't be better then the ps4/xbone unless you pay more. You are also missing out on the exclusives from ms and sony to boot. So, I don't really get, whats the point outside of the pc enthusiast, even with them it seems doubtful. They have decent to ridic powerful pc's already that can handle next gen just fine, so why spend more on a steambox. PC can be played in the living room already too. It's just a bit more work and maybe inconvenience. So , just who is the steambox targeting?
