According to the Amazon list Elite was outselling both Wii and PS3 before it ran out of stock (which it now is). I think it was #5.

 Also it appears all the resellers are charging $660+ for new Elites..another indication of popularity?

As I've said before Amazon ranking is a very bad way to determine popularity ...

Awhile back I was curious how many of any game related product it took to get (close to) the #1 spot on Amazon.com; after watching for a couple of weeks and looking at the stock numbers for several top ranked items it turned out that #1 would be (roughly) 20 items sold per day.

Beyond that, there are lots of places that have Elite systems in stock

It's sold out at many places: Target, Amazon, Bestbuy, Costco, Walmart, etc.

But, I believe ckmlb is correct, there aren't that many to begin with. My guess would be an initial run of 100,000. Still, it should help boost 360 numbers for April. The numbers that should be shocking are Wii and PS3 console sales. How high can Wii go, and how low will PS3 go?

I would take pictures like that with a grain of salt unless it's reported that many people are having problems with it.  Someone seeking attention or having an ax to grind could get a ring like that by simply taping up the air vents on the system and waiting until it overheated.  Sorry there are far too many fanboys out there to make some pictures on the internet credible by themselves.

 I don't think it's gonna give the 360 a big boost, as I think people who were gonna buy a premium will get the Elite and only some 360 owners are gonna buy it again just for the elite...
