that looks weird. wonder how it feels to play with.

Because you use your right index finger to fire and select in most games, so the best placement would be to stay with that finger for the right trigger, not the left.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

on xbox or ps controller it's also swapped for most funtions. as example you shoot with the right trigger but left mouse button
I was expecting something more appealing to the human eye...

well I hate shooters with gamepads, this might change it, but what about all other games. can't imagine to play dmc, darksiders etc with it.

In theory, a touchpad on a lap top for example isn't known to be as reliable as a physical mouse.....
I'd have to use it, but my past track record with touch pads is pretty horrid. I like digital input for the certainty. Last thing want in a game is the controller fighting you.

I think I'll stick to my Dual Shock 3. This looks awful.
Signature goes here!
I have to be perfectly honest here.....that looks absolutely terrible
I mean not just is it ugly, I could easily get over that if it at least seemed very functional, but from personal experience I find that moving your thumbs (or other fingers) over any sort of touch control surface for longer periods of time is EXTREMELY uncomfortable. So unless this is some groundbreaking new type of surface that is somehow super comfortable to slide your thumbs across for hours on end, which I very much doubt, this is fail right from the word go. The rest of the shape and layout aren't exactly confidence inspiring either.
