Their multi-touch pad and easy porting ability allows them to bring to the table just about anything an Android console like Ouya could.
So who knows? The music/movie multimedia, gaming capabilities and social features are pretty damn broad for the PS4.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

the ps4 nor the xboxn nor the wiiU is disruptive. none of these sport anything particularly innovated. each of these products is a continued evolution of where the market has been heading for the last 8 years.

I don't know about you but I thought the PS2 was also fairly disruptive too seeing as how it made the industry grow more moderately.
It's going to lube up and fuck the other consoles, but it's not disruptive. It's only disruptive in the way that a kid in grade school makes jokes and farts during class and gets all the attention from everyone else doing well.

Note: Innovative != Disruptive ;)
I think think of at least 5 consoles off the top of my head that had CD before the Playstation one. I would say use of soundtracks from real artists and their marketing was more disruptive. Sony made it cool to play video games. They had booths in world famous clubs like ministry of sound.
Remember popular franchises that people associated with the playstation actually started out on other machines i.e - Tomb Raider. Initially the Sega Sturn was outselling the Playstation esp. in Japan. But i digress - But CD gaming is definately not something that should beclaimed "disruptive" in favour of the PSX.

It doesn't matter who came first with the technology, what matters most is who puts it to use therefore PS1 absolutely deserves the right to be a disruptive platform. Like I said innovation means jack if no one puts it to use just like the wii u gamepad.
If they made a console and made games for the consoles - are they not putting it to use. The Mega CD was not the most successful console/add on - but enough decent games came out on it and it was popular enough. The case was also the same dfor the Sega Saturn.
