I'm sure VGC will show wrong numbers for France... a country that we already have real data from GFK.

I think VGC algorithmic is outdated... based in the early sales of this gen when 360 games sold more than PS3 but the things changed and the algorithmic needs do be updated to reflect the actual trend.

on topic: very happy for rockstar. 5 years working on this great and creative game these sales are 100% deserved and earned.

I suppose it is good to see GTA take the sales crown away, but I do find it slightly silly that this can manage this number of sales in 1 week when most games struggle to sell more than 1 or 2m

But if there is one game that deserves this number of sales it is GTA V, such an absurdly good sales.

I imagine that once the inevitable San Fierro and Las Venturas DLC comes out there will be more sales and then also extra sales with PC and next-gen versions.

30m sales?

I also wonder how big the PS3 hardware boost will be. Some great bundles in Europe. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold ~300k WW this week, although I do not expect VGChartz to reflect this (at least early on).

300k is a bit optimistic I guess

Over 150k is certain... so I will go with 190k.

Edit - Changed to 190k because I like more this number.

Not that optimistic when you're talking about a game that sells upwards of 8m in one week on the platform...

I think it pushed a considerable amount of systems. Just look at this week's UK charts, where TLoU shot up by 500%+ due to being in a hardware bundle with GTAV

I didn't see the UK chart today because I had a lot of work to do

I still think any numbers over 200k a surprise for me.

Don't worry guys according to VGC the PS3 will most probably only sell 150k for that time period..

Goddamn that's fucking huge! Rockstar Games have hit pure gold with the GTA franchise.
