Expected Wii U-Numbers like this. Why would People buy it, when it get's a price-drop 1 Week later. Next 3 Weeks will be very interesting for Wii U. Pirice Cut on Deluxe-Models, Zelda Bundle, and on October th 4th Zelda Retail.

Actually glad to see Wii U numbers drop this week, it shows that people are actually reacting to the upcoming price drop. It has had very little impact, though, so I don't expect more than 40-50k next week.

As I've said, the Wii U has been available at $300 since launch. Anyone who has wanted to buy it at that price has been free to do so for 11 months. Increasing the value of the bundle could sway a few people, but what will really help are the upcoming releases and Holiday season, and hopefully with that a change of public perception.

You know, the more I think about the Killzone sales, the more I have trouble believing them.

On a 1.8m userbase in Japan, it sold ~ 11k FW.

On a 0.35m userbase in the UK, it sold ~ 8k FW.

Then on a 1.4m userbase in the USA, we've got it at ~14k.

Given the differences in buying habits between west and east, it just seems... strange. Hopefully NPD will have some better news.

Although I probably shouldn't get my hopes up.

Quite possibly that the GTAV crowd has a huge overlap with KZ's potential crowd and is being sucked up.

That and CoD burned the shooter base.

2D platforms which name isn´t Mario are dead...

explain Donkey Kong and LBP!

let's hope KZ:M also manages to leg out some nice numbers in the 600k-800k range by the end of the year.

Not will happen.

Cool you know how to put gifs in a post, try to put an appropriate one next time. KZ:M reaching 600k may be unlikely, but isn't something impossible (especially with digital). Sony just has to start showing it off as they have been doing last year with CoD so that people actually get to know that the ultimate FPS on the go is finally out. It really depends on the legs and how Sony reacts now, but first week actually isn't as bad as it seems at first. More than 10% is already done ;)

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Possibly.  But, that's likely why they move KZ:M's release date up a week, so it didn't coincide with CoD.

I still think selling 3k more than the game sold in Japan is really odd.

I knew Puppeteer was going to flop the moment I saw it was coming to PS3. I mean, I liked it from the start, but why put it on PS3!? They could've put it on the PS4 or Vita, these consoles need new IPs so bad and could actually sell this game, cause everyone know that early lifetime of a platform is the best time to introduce new IPs. To put a new franchise on a dying console just a couple day before the last massive AAA game is realeased on is just ridiculously stupid. There is no market for new expensive 2D platformers on PS3 and they should know it. I knew it.

I know it may come to you as a surprice, but Killzone is actually doing quite nice! Why you ask? Well, it sold 34k in EU and Japan and 14k in US - 48k FW combined (even if these numbers look freakish and we find them hard to believe). ACIII:L sold 94k FW, but was so massively advertised ("This place needs an assassin", came with a cool new bundle with a Vita in a new colour and stuff. KZ on the other hand came with no advertisements (why Sony, WHY? I see Sony advertising GTA V all the time on TV, but absolutely nothing for KZ:M anywhere). At this point it only matters if it manages to have nice legs and people who ignored it in favour of GTA V actually get it in a couple of weeks. ACIII sold on a steady level every week up until Christmas, let's hope KZ:M also manages to leg out some nice numbers in the 600k-800k range by the end of the year.

I doubt Puppeteer woul do much better on Vita or PS4

I'm not saying it would sell big time there, but it really couldn't do worse. These consoles need such games and it could help move some hardware. I think this game would fit best on Vita (since LBP Vita is the best one out there), if it was released on PS4 it would probably canibalise Knack, so wouldn't be that beneficial.

I don't see how Puppeteer woul sell ps4 ,game that not sold well would not move a console hardware

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
