I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. I said that the 3DS will reach 80M in sales at most.
And 105M? So, the 3DS will sell 72M more?

Yea at most you said 80mil, so wat do you expect it to sell. Ex if i think it'll sell minimum of 100mil and maximum of 150mil then i expect around 120mil-130mil. Im asking you wat do you expect exactly. Me personally minimum 90mil with no more than 120mil. But i'll go with 105mil. You said 80mil maximum, so how much do you expect in the worst case scenario? 55mil? 65mil? Wats your estimate if u had one guess?

So, you want a range? Then 75M to 80M.

so practically half of DS sales! Ok fair enough, i think it'll do that before or during holiday 2016! I do not think next handheld will come out intill 2019 imo

People who still think smart devices have no or only minimal impact on the handheld gaming business are completely in denial.
Next time you're in any large airport and sitting in the waiting area have a look at what kids are actually playing, the amount of them using their own or their parents' smart devices outnumbers dedicated handheld devices easily.
Even the 3DS is going to sell nowhere close to the DS. And it was only $250 for a few months, and the 3D can be turned off any time, so I don't buy either of those excuses.
The PSP sold great at $250 for quite some time when it launched, so it's not like you can't sell a gaming handheld at that price either.
been saying this for the past 2 days

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
Well, with the all digital way it's going, I don't really care whether it's mobile or not.
They really have. Even my teenager who used to take his PSP with him everywhere told me just today how stupid the PSP was... He told me his phone does more than it ever did. I think that attitude is pretty common.
While I agree that phones have come a long way and are far more useful but playing games on your phone is still not optimal IMHO. I need actual controls.
But yeah Shu is dead on phones have greatly impacted the handheld market.
I reckon handheld will sooner or later be something of the past! These are not just single purpose gadgets but might also be a considered less practical than smartphones. The latter are not only tactile but offer all sorts of applications to make them all-round mobile devices.
