What do you think will make Western RPGs more popular in Japan?

I'm guessing this:

Just as this is making Japanese developed RPGs more popular in West:

Nothing will make WRPG's more popular in japan and this has to do with alot of them pandering to a bunch of anime otaku's plus their voice appears to be the strongest too which makes it even harder to support western developed games because of the influence they have on japanese gamers.

how wrong you are, Elder scrolls and Dragon Age are pretty popular in Japan. just go on any japanese streaming sites and you will see people playing it.

just because the sales are less does not mean its not popular you are comparing the whole of America (and all the imports) against one country that is Japan.

Those games practically sold under 350K and compared to niche JRPGs in japan thats pretty pathetic considering elder scrolls and dragon age are somewhat big franchises.

Japan is a small country.

America is a continent.

American copies get released to areas outside of America as imports.

Japan doesn't because English is more used than Japanese.

All my copies are American imports and I don't live in the US.

By america I'm referring to the US and I'm pretty sure Japan has a population of 120mil but even then dragon age did horrible with only a 100k.

Are you sure that Japan doesn't have any publishers to translate the game ? cuz I'm pretty sure the ones translating call of duty is square enix.

When the heck did I say that?

Oh right your in kuwait.

What that have to do with anything?, , start making sense.

Skyrim did okay in Japan. That has to count for something.

Final Fantasy series did okay in west, that did not help Tales of, Atelier, Ar Tonelico, Disgaea etc a lot

They did well, hence why they're localizing them.

you can't compare a huge game like Final Fantasy to Tales , Disgaea and Atelier, come on....

The lack of public for J-RPG means lack of budget for J-RPGs, how come there could be any bigger J-RPG if most J-RPGs studios are 40 people teams ?
