Forgive my ignorance, but Hong Kong is now a country? When did that happen?

It's called a "Special Administrative Region of China". To all intents and purposes it's a separate country with it's own government, laws, etc, but it also belongs to China.

Sounds more like a State than a Country

Well its far froma country considering it doesnt even handle its own international affairs, China controls all of that.

But i am not going to derail the thread any further with this.

On Topic:   I find it a little odd that Sony goes to Tokyo Game Show and announces new "countries" for the PS4 to release in this year and one of them isn't the country that Tokyo belongs too, and Sonys home country.  Seems odd and slightly dickish on Sonys part.

TGS is for Asia too... it was the pre-Japan conference for Asia market only.
