Hello, I was talking to a friend about Sony and Microsoft next consoles, he didnt know what to get(He's a X360 user but enjoys playing Sony explusives too) so I tell him to wait 2 years or so when, probably, next gen winner will be more evident and there will be a lot of next gen games to try, and console prices will be lower. I told him to buy a better PC, play some PC's exclusives and some next gen games too. He told me that was a very expensive idea, and I said I will build a cheap gaming PC comparable with next gen consoles. So here's my build.

how loud is it? and wheres the audio?

well you should add that with PS+ he is getting tons of games for his PS4 and if he has any other PlaySation consoles.

also you should add the controller inputs costs to the PC too. a good mouse + keyboard for gaming dont come in cheap most of the time. and a 360 controller for a PC costs around 60 bucks.

however, PC has piracy

Problably its within acceptable levels of noise because it only have 1 case fan, cpu and gpu fans are most of the time very quiet too. Audio is coming from motherboard so it will be Ok, consoles will probably have better audio(adding to disadvantages)

Great build, altough, for the price you're paying for this CPU, you could get the Athlon X4 750K, which will be much better for overclocking since it has an unlocked multiplier and it is only $5 more than the X4 740.

Not a bad build at all, ur not gonna get much better at that price and it really gives great bang for the buck.

I dont even have to tell u about the dangers of cheap PSUs since u went with antec. They're trustworthy enough. =)

Careful with overclocking though, since that mobo seems to be budget. No idea how it handles if u raise up some currents. I would recommend reading about it a bit.

Yep, but I wanted to stay within the 400$ to 500$ of next gen, so thats why I cheaped the Mobo(probably no much need to OC because CPU is already better than 4bone), next step its FX 6300 with mobo(around 220$ more) next its the 3570k or 4670k with a Z77 or Z87 mobo(around 360$ more)

You need more VRAM... games will start to use a lot of VRAM... BF4 is already showing that.

Don't buy a PC lol. Right now is THE WORST time to be buying a gaming rig. Unless you plan to go way over the console prices, your rig will not out perform them this November and it will really fall behind in a few years. Much smarter is buying a PC a few years into the gen so that it's fairly cheap to get better than console graphics.

What he should do is buy a PS4 or xbone close to launch when the console to pc graphics ratio is most favorable.
