If you take into account that there is less of an audience in the portable market then yeah pokemon X and Y could fall short of its predecessors

DO NOT TALK ABOUT POKEMON XY!!!!!!!!!! Comg is one store that has 1200 pre orders, on Amazon they are doing well, bundles first pre orders sold out. Pls dont talk about pokemon if you dont kno have all the facts and only using COMG as a source!!!

You can't really compare it to Black/White though, that game wouldn't be X/Y's equivalent game. Black/White was the second generation of original games for the DS. Naturally pre-orders were higher, because the install base was higher.

You should, however, compare X/Y to Diamond/Pearl, the first generation of games on the DS when that too had a smaller install-base and is thus X/Y's equivalent. As far as I know, X/Y is tracking ahead of Diamond/Pearl.

And then compare install bases.

being the first polygonal pokemon + introducing a new type since gen 2 and all the other new stuff. this game may atract even more people to the franchise.

Bundles aren't included on COMG and digital sales should be substantial.
