Even the greatest games out there are considered "shitty" by someone but that doesn't prove anything.

Jak 2 beinig called a bad game isn't uncommon.  It's praised by a lot of people though because it's exclusive.  If it wasn't a sequel and exclusive, more people would be honest about how shitty the game is.

Less people write reviews about games they dislike.  A fan is usually more inclined to write a review about a game they like rather than one that they dislike, so user reviews are always skewed towards more positiive.  Yet Jak 2 has 12 reviews that are 6/10 or less with a review headline that reads like it's a bad game.  http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/914535-jak-ii/reviews

Because a game is a game. Beautiful Katamari sold poorly and I would like a sequel (not Katamari Forever, but a proper sequel) even if it sell well or not.

The Last Guardian is a game. It deserves to be, especially when there's this arguably "small" crowd that is burning in despair until the game releases.

When I first knew about The Last Guardian in a magazine I thought it was very interesting. I think it would be a great addition to the PS4 (or PS3) library of games mainly to give it even more variety but honestly I'm indifferent about getting more info or a release date of this game.

The bird dies at the end of the game.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

ICO and Shadow of the Colossus didn't sell particularly well. Doesn't change the fact that they are some of the best PS2 games of all time.

I'm not ignoring anything.  They've made "some" good titles, but they've also made a lot of crap before and after the merger, and this is all compared to the PSX where every game that Squaresoft released was quality.

I'm only pointing out that even a company that has a long list of amazing titles can release crap eventually.  There nothing to say how many games are going to be good before one is crap.  That's the point I'm making.  Don't judge a game based on just a CG video or even if it's a good developer because it's not guaranteed to be good.

But this isn't true. Plenty of Squaresoft titles got averages in the 70s or below.

Searching Squaresoft as a company on Metacritic, there is no score on PSX below 79.  All PSX games are not reviewed through Metacritic, games like Legend of Mana, SaGa Frontier, Front Mission 3, etc.  So let's just use IGN, as garbage of a site as it may be.  Nothing is below a 7 and many people will argue the 7/10 scores that both SaGa Frontier scores received because the games are amazing.

Looking around elsewhere, Gamespot gave Ehrgeiz a 5.8 and while I didn't read the review, it's probably some biased review bashing the game just because it has Final Fantasy characters so it must not be much of a fighting game.  However, Gamespot gave Tobal No. 1 a 7.4 and that's a piece of shit.  A Squaresoft game I actually forgot about even though I own it.

Okay, so one bad game on the PSX and debatable another.  That proves my point even further.  Squaresoft was able to make all those great games on the PSX and still made one bad game.  Not even 10 years later they release garbage left and right.  You can't guarantee the Ico Team won't make a bad game as well.

Threads of Fate and The Bouncer were two that I found in less than 3 minutes of researching.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I didn't realize anyone wanted this game for sales reasons. I actually wanted it because the previous game from Team Ico happened to be one of the best video games I've ever played, and most lists concur.

Bouncer isn't a PSX game is it.  No, no it's not.  It's a PS2 game.  I said on the very post I replied to you that "after all the good PSX games that Square Enix developed, once the next gen came out it started releasing a lot of crappy games."  PSX has never meant "PS2" except with the DVR release of the PS2 called PSX, but no one ever references that.

Also.  Threads of Fate isn't a terrible game, which I also listed in the very post I replied to you way back.  It also didn't review badly either.  Back when all decent games weren't given a minimum of 8/10, it scored an average of 7.6 at Gamerankings as it's not listed in Metacritic.  Only two reviewers gave it below a 7, EGM and RPGamer both with a 6, while the next lowest was 7.3.  Ehrgeiz at Gamerankings reviewed a 7.5.  Tobal No. 1, the game I said was a piece of shit, because it is, has an 8.2 average over at Gamerankings.  The SaGa Frontier games which I also mentioned scored a 7 at IGN scored a 7.3 and 7.4 average at Gamerankings.  Looks like there really are no PSX titles that fit in the 7/10 and under rating that you were so sure of.  Atleast if going by averages.

I've already proved a point when I mentioned there was atleast one bad game anyways and I pointed out Tobal No. 1.  That regardless how good of a developer it is, there's no guarantee the next game is going to be good.  Why do you continue arguing the fact when you're picking out titles like the Bouncer, even when I said that's when Squaresoft started making crap, that further proves gives truth to what I said?  There's nothing to argue about when my point was already made and proven in multiple past posts.  Are you even reading half of what I post or are you skimming the first sentence and then replying, because that's what it seems like.

I know this may be hard to believe and all.................But I think I may just enjoy this even if it doesn't sell well. I know, everything must be popular for me to enjoy. Bad Jay!
