Forums - Microsoft - Forza 5's AI is "much more engaging than anything you'll see in another racing game"

Or my trick of driving the wrong way to see how big of a crash you can make?

Also, I'm going to make some of my friends that are totally terrible, play at least once, so I will have some driveatars to beat.

Oh this better be limited to just people paying for Gold. Otherwise so many troll profiles will be made. WTF is this car doing blocking the road? etc.

Remember that if you get Gold, you get to designate your home console with Gold too.  Everyone that plays on that console will have the Xbox Gold Live on your console.

So thousands of wrong way drivers!  Crashes galore - and you thought a  blue turtle was bad.

Yes, so I get to win at least a few times, tee hee!

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

I had a feeling they were talking about that cloud AI thing.

This is nice but it isn't anything revolutionary. Nobody is really going to notice the difference when playing.

"Holy shit, guys! Did you see the way they turned that corner!? They turned that corner like never before, guys!" .. Uhh.. No. You're not really going to tell the difference

It's, by far, nothing revolutionary for driving sims but it's nice

For starters, how about we test it out before we make definitive statements about what will or will not happen regarding this gameplay element?

Secondly, your post was spoken like someone who has never spent extended time with a Forza or Gran Turismo game. The AI in these games leave a lot to be desired. So yes, any improvement to more closely mimic human players, IS something that can be revolutionary and is something that we will be able to tell the difference with.

You're talking about the revolutionary thing? It wont be. You can quote me on it

It's still nice but not "revolutionary"

Don't have to be revolutionary to make a difference.

The only thing that usually bothers me on GTs AIs is that it always seems all against one, they don't try to win the race they try to prevent you from winning, they usually ran on trail (no mistakes but also no risks)... better AI would always be good, but not sure that by mimicking all the terrible drive styles out there will be good... their filter would need to be really good to don't spoil the end game.

I was just making a fun hypothetical.

Nah, it's cool. It only works against Xbox Life Friends.

PR hype apart, nice to see that devs will use all that RAM they finally have available in 8th gen consoles also for something that matters more than graphics for gameplay.
