Woops, so many Japanenese publishers are bankrupt these days, I got them confused.

But Sega can't afford them especially. I'd be shocked if it wasn't being ported as we speak (or type...)

Than be prepared to be shocked, Sonic Colours never left the Wii, as did MadWorld ( even developed by Platinum too)

I would be shocked if it would leave the WiiU knowing about Nintendo GameCube exclusives that never resurfaced on anything besides Nintendo (Resident Evil Remake, Zero, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes etc.)

Those latter games had exclusive deals tied to them from the start and there's been no word whether this has one attached too, so I’d guess it doesn’t. And those other titles never left the Wii because...well...there just wasn't that much of a following for them. I somehow just don't see people clamoring for Sonic Colors and Mad World to grace their systems, so there's really no reason for them to port those.

Plus for each exclusive that you named that didn't leave the platform, there have been several major ones that have (RE4 anyone?), so really, it's a coin flip.

I say it will eventually for one simple reason: Because of the lack of success of the Wii U. If they don't port it, they're flat out leaving money on the table, and if you think they're going to risk closing their doors as a studio just to remain loyal to one company, then you’ve got another thing coming.

If it does stay exclusive though, it’ll be that way only because they couldn’t afford to port it to the other consoles, not because they don't want to spite Ninty. It's just too costly these days for their to be true 100% third party exclusives which is why they're so rare.

the difference between something like Bayonetta 2 and RE4 is that Nintendo paid for 100% of the games' development, and i think they pretty much "own" the Bayonetta 2 name, kinda like how they own the MGS: Twin Snakes' rights because they paid for the game development.

Remember the GTAIV DLC though? That was funded by Microsoft and it launched on PS3 and PC a mere 1 year later. And reportedly ME1 was too. All I'm saying is don't be too disappointed if this game jumps ship. There's a better chance that it's ported than it not.

The only way it will be 100% not coming to other platforms is if it manages to scratch out decent sales on the system which is yet to be seen. If it tanks, I say look for a port soon thereafter.

MS didn't own ME or the GTA DLC though.

Neither does Nintendo with Bayonetta 2. It's still Sega's IP.  Just look at the end of the trailer.

I still don't get why people are making this much of a big deal about it though. It's not like it's a system seller or anything.

It's just another franchise.

they own the rights to Bayonetta 2. Sega owns the IP, but Nintendo owns this game, kinda like how they own Twin Snakes but Konami is the one who owns MGS, they couldn't put Twin Snakes in the Legacy collection without Nintendo's permission.

nah, I still think it will be 720p, but I honestly don´t care.
I take v-sync 60fps 720p over 1080p and frameratedrops in the 30s

This will be great and I hope Kamiya gets the chance to make Bayo 3D with Jeanne as a history teacher !

The 360 version of the first game was 720p and 60fps, so the WiiU raising the resolution to 1080p is perfectly possible. The WiiU may be unimpressive (hardware wise) next to the PS4/Xbone, but it can hold it's own against the PS360.

The GTA4 DLC funding was an entirely different situation. That was part of the deal MS made with Rockstar to bring GTA4 over to the 360. As part of the deal MS would fund (at least part of) the DLC, and in exchange would gain timed exclusivity.

Bayonette 2 is being entirely funded and published by Nintendo. It's not just a timed exclusivity deal, they actually own that game. The only way it will appear on another console is if Nintendo put it there, which of course, they won't.

unnecessary reply is unnecessary.

Yet your random attempt to provoke Sony and MS fans was completely necessary?

provoke? stating a fact isn't provoking. unless you're saying bayo 2 didn't cause any comotion from sony/ms fans?

bayoneta 2 isn't an IP, it's an installment of an IP. Nintendo owns bayonetta 2, sega owns bayonetta.

Absolutely amazing if true.

Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros Wii U look better than Bayonetta 2 I think and also runs at 1080/60fps. Why wouldn't Bayonetta do the same?

Joke post? Smash U looks like a Wii game running in Dolphin, not even close to Bayonetta, and as fantastic as Mario Kart looks otherwise, it's still only officially 720p.

and projections say about three times the FLOPS

We're looking at 350gflops vs 250glops, so it's more like 1.5 times the flops.

Still, the considerable increase in EDRAM from what I understand is why 1080p is so much more achievable.
