The complete absence of Sony handhelds is strange, to say the least.
Anyway, those numbers aren't that bad for Nintendo, especially in a context where we are made to believe that dedicated handhelds are going to be a thing of the past soon. Within two years they went down from 37% for DS to 25% for DS and 9% for 3DS with a generational transition that has seen increased hardware and software prices. Numbers for other devices went up in large part due to hand-me-down devices. And on top of that, all that those percentages show is overlap, not exclusive use of one platform over others. Kids play whatever they can get their hands on.

Personaly i think its bad for Nintendo/Sony.. Sure kids are still playing the handhelds but the amount of exposure with iOS and Android devices are gonna devalue the Nintendo/Sony/MS videogames.. These kids have just as much fun with a 1 dollar game as with a 50 one.. You and me were brought up with NES videogames that were always expensive.. Now as adults our games are still the same expensive price.. But for these kids, they have 1 dollar games.. to convince them later on to switch 50 dollar games won't be easy..
The only way to counter that and I think a lot of companies are aware of this, is bringing more premium content to iOS devices at a higher price.. Ace Attorney HD is 15 bucks on iOS just like the Final Fantasy games.. The only thing that there is, is that it could be possible that there will be a generation of kids who completly won't care about Mario but about Angry Birds and may never feel the need to switch to a handheld or console when they grow older
