Would it be cheaper to go on a road trip? Split gas money with friends who are interested in also getting a PS4.

Actually those are not, I made an article (in Spanish) comparing prices and all are high, but not close to the Argentinian price:

The most common price is around 660 dollars, 65% higher than in USA, but you have to removed around 15% taxes.

Argentina in this case is the exception, not the rule.

I don't know if that price is because of taxes, but maybe it will be cheaper if you import a PS4.

Look, I live in Ecuador, and I'm totally confident that when Sony announces the PS4, it'll be 700-800 dollars.

However, We, Ecuadorians, always import or buy imported products because it's way cheaper. For example, an imported PS4 should be at 550 dollars.
