Forums - Sony - Japanese Gamers Are Disappointed about the PS4 Launch Date

Its only right for Sony to do this. Consoles sell way better in NA and EU than they do in JP. Japan really only buys handhelds now, and besides, the Ps4 will have no competition in Japan. Sony is doing the right thing.

"I seem to remember Japan getting the Vita two or three months before it was released abroad."

Looks like Sony really hates Japan these days.

Well, They can always buy 360.

And that's why competition is good, no competition, no hurry to release in that market.

Maybe this generation they'll buy more Xbox consoles so PS5 will be released with more diligence there.

Sony is desperate, not releasing at home first. If I worked at Sony Japan, I will be pissed.

pretty obvious reaction. we would do the same. but once its released people will get over it

Hello Japanese gamers. This is exactly how European gamers have felt for nearly every console generation in history... except we often had to wait a full year.

Sucks huh?

I live in us, and I'm not buying it tip ff15 and if it never come out I will never buy mwhahahaha

"I really wanted those Western games." / "I'll get a PC instead."

Yeah, this sampling definitely doesn't represent Sony's Japanese base. People looking forward to Western games like Battlefield... please. No Western game cracked the top 20 PS3 games in Japan. The highest is BLOPS II and that hasn't hit 500k.

The response I'm feeling here is, "That's disappointing, but I can wait."
