Now I'm offended. Your new poll discriminates against both rapists and butt rapists.

Hold on a second. These "indirect question" surveys have come under a lot of justified criticism. There was one in the US that gets thrown around a lot even though many of the women it decided had been raped did not themselves believe that they'd been raped. It pretty much counted anything and everything as rape. After reading about that, I'm always a bit wary of this kind of thing.

Also, "One in Four Asian men say they raped" is an absolutely horrible and misleading headline.

Aside from that, cultural differences account for most of this. Factors like poverty and a lack of a good educational system can also play a part. Things like this don't get changed over-night. There has to be a deeper cultural progression that instills more respect for human beings. Unfortunately, in places where lives are cheap, that's easier said than done. Higher rates of sexual violence is just one symptom of that.

Not cool, but if I recall correctly the number of college men in America that saay they would rape if they could get away with it is higher when it is anonymously polled. Still always a shocker.
