Forums - Nintendo - 'Over 1000' indie devs have shown interest in Wii U

This is the kind of stat that Sony, then MS and now Nintendo keep throwing around. Utterly meaningless isn't it really.

Millions of consumers show interest in a product, then walk out the store and never think of it again.

''5 of them made games for it''

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

No action goes without consequences.  I'm not saying that one of these indy developers will become the next Bungie, but right night Nintendo has a lot of hooks in the ocean.  All they really need is 1% of the fishes to bite and that should be a success.  Not big success mind you, but just enough to make this indy drive viable.

It takes like two seconds to fill out the form.

No reason not to submit one, but also very few of those thousand will actually make it to the system.

I'm curous to see how the form looks, could you provide a link, please?

The fact that 2000 developers have looked at their site (requiring registration) doesn't mean they are going to develop a game for WiiU.

But it is a great sign that at least they are considering it.

I recommend reading the whole interview with Adelman: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=168131

Wii U

So applying the average "indie game to good game ratio", the Wii U should be seeing four good indie games over the coming years. SWEET!

the magic word this new gen is: "Indies"

The big devs are bowing out left and right, either by merger or by bankruptcy. Someone's gotta make new content to replace them.
