I guess because this build is early  haven't managed to get it running yet, hopefully this is the case. Its funny because this demo is literally showing what we saw today vs what was shown at the playstation reveal. They're very far from their target.

It would be crazy if they proved me wrong, but seriously, that Feb stuff looked just too damn good!

Yeah feb stuff looked miles ahead of anything we've seen on the next gen consoles. But it looked very controlled, very limited in scope, camera angles were also done in a certain way to show off stuff etc.

Seemed in engine though...although saying footage is in engine these days doesnt really mean much. I got quite tired of hearing devs saying footage is engine and then when playing the actual game...IQ falls far short. Its not like they lying though but i still feel its misleading.

Didnt seem too far off for me to be honest. Especially the like for like scene. Keep in mind that this is off screen footage.

I dont think they will quite reach that level of fidelity in open gameplay but to say its far off and parts of it look current gen is overly harsh and way off imo.

It was using engine assets (a sort of Uncharted-like approach, if you will). But if that were true gameplay, it would have trounced even the best looking PC games, and that just wasn't going to happen. Capcom tried to pass that as real-time, but people who know better and have an eye for these things couldn't take it seriously.

That said, what we saw last night looked exceptional, but we're probably a gen behind the quality of that original footage.

Lets see what Naughty dog does with Uncharted 6 before we say stuff like that

Not the graphics as a whole, just the flame effects. It looks like their fluid simulation system was completely omitted in todays build and they were just using a higher res version of the assets they would use in a current gen title. MTFramework always had great explosions and fire effects so its not much of an insult ;)

I actually never liked MTFramework explosions and fire effects. From Resident Evil 5 to Lost Planet the explosions and fire effects all look exactly the same.

Its a bit weird because Capcom always spoke about it.

Thats why i was quite surprised by the fire effects shown in the initial footage.

Looks like a brighter Demon Souls, still looks absoulutly awesome though.

I keep seeing/hearing this. What's so wrong with DR3? Maybe I'm being biased since I cherish that series, but more and more are saying it looks "meh", to a degree, and I'm trying to understand why.

it's not that DR3 is wrong it's that DD looks epic!!  ..and it's no secret that i'm a huuuge demon's/dark souls fan.
