Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Slumps After Stock Excluded From Nikkei 225

To be fair, Seece has not suggested that it is solely due to power, but more due to the so-far demonstrated demand.

I'd say he's less talking about demonstrated demand than rampant demand due to "perceived value," most of which I can only assume comes from horsepower, but in a literal sense you are correct.

Edit: On re-read, this comes off as harsher towards Seece than I'd intended. You are correct: he did not say it is solely due to power, and my original comment was not directed at him.

Nintendo fans.. shhhh! ... let them enjoy this victory thats yet and they hope happens.. let them have this ...

no point in debating this and that.. history is not a factor in their arguements.. therefore they are sure this time.. and nintendo is doom!

I don't think it's anything to do with power really, Sony have hit it out of the ballpark in all areas (except launch line up and beyond so far).

People will see Wii U's value after the console transition. $300 + Game vs $400 vs $500 + Game doesn't look so bad if you think about it. Also, the time PS4 and Xbox are launching Wii U will have new and important titles ready. It WILL sell better then now.

What value?  Right now the Wii U is being DESTROYED by the PS3.  The PS3 won't disapear when the PS4 launches.  In fact it is now starting at $200 with room for another price cut in the future...

You could say the same about the new Consoles. It's almost natural that the older consoles outsell the new ones after launch months buddy. And it will happen with PS 4 and Xbox also.

And this is where you and people like you don't get it:   The PS4 and even the Xbox One are insanely more powerful and feature-filled compared to the Wii U.

The PS4:

-Is 10x stronger (Litterally)

-Has over 16x more storage

-Plays Bluerays

-Has incredible multi tasking, social, and streaming capabilities.

Now before you say (Again) "But the same goes for the PS3."  I preemptively say: Duh!

But the PS3 is:

-$100 cheaper

-Plays Bluerays

-Has a MUCH MUCH MUUUUUUUUCH better network

-Has a vastly larger catalog of games (Oftenly at cheaper prices).

Thus the Wii U loses on both fronts.  That is why it is doing so terribly and with a GTAV PS3 bundle coming this holiday I don't see that turning around.

P.S. OMG the meltdowns from Nintendo fanboys will be EPIC!!!

And you should know by now that power doesn't mean anything for the average joe.

EDIT: How do you know that the network is so much better lol. Nintendo Network seems fine. I never had a disconnect or lag or anything else. Sorry bro. AAAAAAND I don't have to pay for it in the future.

1) Power means nothing?  LOL  it was only one reason, and btw have fun playing BF4 because the Wii U can... Oh wait sorry it can't.

2) I have used both and PSN is 10x better.  How do you know?

You're treading on insanely thin ice here.

I am not being sarcastic when I say:  What did I say that was so bad?   Specifically.

I agree that Sony has the strongest console at the moment (in terms of consumer appeal), and it's definitely their generation to lose. I wouldn't go as far as saying they've hit a homerun though.

Honestly if they had one more great console launch exclusive it would be a homerun.  Like GTAV or The Last Guardian...

What attitude is that?  (Again seriously curious).  I mean besides the P.S. line, it only seems like I am posting facts and opinions.  I never openly insulted anyone.

That the meltdowns are going to be "epic"? How is that not problematic. You're basically saying "your console is going to fail so bad that you'll freak out and it will be hilarious to see."
