I was watching Robotech Macross with my son and I <3 the scene where Max Sterling battles his future wife, Mirya, in a 3-D battle. Dang ... I was just 12 when I first saw the game - and wanted it ever since.

The game projected a 3-D image and both fighters battled. I was sure that video games would have progressed to that point - like the Hallow Deck on Star Trek Next Generation.

Name your favorite video game in an anime/movie that will likely never see the light of day.

In Ender's Game, near the end of the story Ender plays a "game" that involves strategically maneuvering huge fleets, using friends as lower officers to take care of small groupings of the fleet. I would love a game that was really tough and took alot of team work like that, but then again with my record on strategy games I would surely suck ass at it.

And yeah I know it's a book but it's the only thing I could think of.
