@Rocket and evvil
My reasons behind why GT is better is because of the following. I own a Ps3 and not a 360. I don't get much into another systems games that I won't be purchasing.
But however from what I have heard about the game. I hate realism. I owned a skateboard when I wanted relism I would go to the skatepark. When I wanted to relax and play a game I would play THPS. Those things you could do in the game could never happen in Real Life and thats why I found it fun. The skate game and new Tony Hawks suck because they are attempting realism too much. Which doesn't work since if it was realistic when you fall the way you do in those games nobody would be able to get back up and skate. Now that goes with the racing games. If I want realism I would take my car to the streets and race it. However I want to relax and have fun playing games. I like being able to slam into cars to get the upper hand because that infact could not work in reality. Also GT has always had more tracks and cars if I'm correct. It will be the only racing game I buy.
@Rocket and Evvil, I'm saying GT5 on account of Content. Both games have ton's of realism in their respective areas, Forza has the damage, I guess GT has the handling. But in terms of content, GT5 seems to be attempting to deliver the biggest racing experience seen to date, taking massive advantage of disk space, SPE usage, online features, hell even GT TV or whatever they're talking about. In terms of Content, I (think) GT5 is going to take this home. I mean that's a pretty inflated number for content, hell I remember seeing Burnout bragging about 75 cars xD most of which being two different cars with the same model :P
From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

If you would give forza a chance I think you would really like it, you can turn damage off and slam into whatever you want and keep going. The way damage works in forza is if you have it on you get a 10% bonus in the amount of money you earn for that race. I love it on because it forces you to be a better driver and pay attention. You can also turn on assists such as ABS(anti-lock brakes), TCS(traction control) STM(stability managment) driving lines, no fule or tire wear, and less aggressive AI drivers, each either gives you a bonus or subtracts a % from you total. Its like a cool risk Vs reward system, the more real/difficult you make the game the more money you earn for each race. You can adjust the assists befor every race, with all the assists on the game feels like an arcade racer. Hell if there is a race that you dont want to do for whatecer reason, track you dislike car type you hate, you can hire a driver to race it for you, he takes a cut depending on his skill level. I understand not wanting to buy another system to play a game, Im simply asking to stop putting down a great game you haven't played.
This thread just keeps on coming back, And I still believe gt5 Is BETTER PERIOd

You started this thread but have yet to provide one concrete example as to why you feel that way. You jumped all over the first guy to say forza and not provide a reason. GT5 can't be better as it is not out yet, you mean will be better. I have no doubt that GT5 will be seriously awsome, but Im starting to think you just started this thread to justify the purchase of your ps3 instead of give a fair comparison of two amazing games.

GT definitely has the content. My biggest complaint about Forza is the amount of tracks in the game. As for cars, I really don't care. GT may have 900 cars but only 20 of them will be worth a damn. I don't care if the game has 18 Honda Civics, I'll take the Lamborghinis and Porsches in Forza any day of the week.
As for GT TV, Forza has its own cool features like custom paintjobs, the auction house, screenies, etc.
I really like both games but Forza has some really great features that many people in this thread are overlooking, ignoring, or they just don't realize they're there because they haven't even played Forza.
In any case, GT has some stiff competition to live up to, especially in the online arena. Forza really shines online. Given the nature of PSN, I'm not sure it will be able to live up to Forza and XBL.

Little is known about Forza 3...
I still liked forza 2 better than GT4
